HiddenMe Pro

I try repeatedly to have this load when I start the compuetr and it never does.

After upgrading to the Pro version it ceased to work at all. Use the free version which works well enough but not with multiple monitors.

I have sent support emails several times. The most recent being 2 motnhs ago. No response, nofixes. HiddenMe Pro frequently does not save the correct settings, so I wind up having to re-configure it each reboot. It does what it says, but not on reboot. I would also like to see support for dynamic desktops which have been here a while now.

I love this except it's adding gray bars to the sides of the desktop image even though I don't have gray bars set on the sides in my system preferences. Very annoying!

The app works okay most of the time. But in the new Mojave, it doesn't support the dynamic wallpaper.

This is a simple, easy to use application that’s ruined by a large number of bugs. It only rarely handles your wallpaper correctly, frequently setting different wallpaper and/or shirinking your wallpaper. Dual desktop support exists but suffers from similar bugginess. Try out the free version first ot be sure this works well enough for your needs.

This app does its thing well. I use it to hide my desktop during screen sharing presentations with clients. The problem is that this app crashes frequently. There seems to be no way to contact support or send crash logs. I can’t complain too much given the price, though.

First, I’d like to mention that the HiddenMe (unpaid) version used to be amazing, until I plugged my laptop into an external monitor and then it couldn’t work. I was so excited to find out that there is actually a PRO version which solves that issue. I gladly paid for my PRO version and couldn’t wait to continue using the awesome app. Well, I was in for a surprise. The app could not be more different from unpaid version. First, there is a random bug that throws all of my wallpapers into a blender and spits them out at random times. And when I try to use the HiddenMe Pro settings to use a custom wallpaper (in hopes to fixing issue number 1) it would work for a few minutes until I added another desktop to my dashboard, and then we would be back to step 1. On top of that issue, the app itself often crashes. Even with both of my MacBook pro’s updated and everything. The app is also using the most current update. On top of all of these issues, I have tried several times to get into contact with the developer to see if this, in fact, was just happening to me, but unfortunately anytime I went on their website to submit a ticket, it would not accept my message and would show the loading circle on the “submit” button. Tried it on several different browsers with no success. As you can tell by now, I have tried everything because I do like the app, or at least I used to. I do hope they fix these issues because according to other similar reviews, I am definitely not the only one.

I use this app to hide my messy desktop on both my MacBook Pro screen and my Cinema Display and it did work for a while. A few weeks later, it’s not working. I can no longer hide both screens. My display shows a large white box with a smaller image of my desktop wallpaper while my macbook displays all my icons. Tried to send a message to developer via their website and the form does not submit. Not happy.

Prior to doing a presentation, I always made sure to clean my desktop to make it look more presentable. Now, I just select the menu bar item for HiddenMe. It is awesome. I didn’t need the pro version, but purchased it to support the app. Keep up the awesome work.
