Description

** Make Accurate Psychiatric Diagnoses with Confidence** ** Consult Interactive Decision Trees On All devices Including The Apple Watch®** ABOUT DSM-5™ DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS HANDBOOK All clinicians are trained to make accurate diagnoses. Beginning with the patient’s presenting symptoms, they ultimately narrow down multiple options to one condition. The DSM-5 Differential Diagnosis Handbook can play a critical role in this process by improving the diagnostic process of psychiatric conditions. Leveraging latest DSM-5 classifications from the American Psychiatric Association, users are able to use a trusted 6-step process when dealing with, sometimes unfamiliar, psych conditions. Exclusive, integrated interactive decision trees provide a step-by-step process of asking yes or no questions to find a tentative diagnosis. When the initial diagnosis is reached, tables of differential diagnoses are presented to help confirm or present new options. FEATURES • Interactive decision trees for narrowing down psychiatric diagnoses • Algorithms for enhanced assessment • The latest DSM-5 classifications and ICD-10 codes • Helpful tables of differential diagnoses • Detailed entries featuring definitions for each psychiatric condition • Expansive guidance on all 6 steps of the differential diagnosis process • Advanced Search to help find topics quickly • “Favorites” for bookmarking important entries Author: Michael B. • I wanted to like it

The decision tree is nice but I was also hoping to be able to see the criteria for each of the disorders (maybe I’m just not figuring it out) but there does not seem to be just an option to see the DSM.
  • Does not provide full diagnostic criteria

I was hoping this app provided full diagnostic criteria and it sadly disappointed me. Not worth the $70 and will be asking for refund

Easy and user friendly. Will continue to use
  • No DSM-5 codes!

This DSM-5 app does not contain any DSM-5 codes! The ICD10 codes for each disorder listed are here but not a single DSM-5 code is. So, I use the app for differential DX and then, once I have a DX, I have to go to my paper DSM-5 or elsewhere to find the DSM-5 code?? How incredibly inconvenient. I bought the app precisely for convenience—I don’t need it to add another step for me when putting the DSM codes in seems so clearly logical and needed in a DSM-5 app!
  • Music therapy

I am a new Music Therapist Professional and was hoping to use DSM-5 for my private practice. Music Therapy is an evidence based practice and my only wish is that it was recognized as a health care option on this app.
  • Not worth it

Bought the app but when I log in it says to purchase again to download the entire manual? This is confusing I thought this is why I initially paid $69.99 for.
  • Very underwhelming

I tried the free version and thought it could be really helpful so I bought the app. I don’t know if the developers just got bored half way through but this does not reflect the entire DSM 5 which makes it pretty useless. I’m going to guess it was made for providers who do not already have a mental health background or a working knowledge of the DSM.
  • New version is terrible! Give me back the old version!

Just confused, why isn’t there a “psychologist” profession option?
  • Rare intelligence and common sense

The decision trees and the explanations of how to apply them, the guides about not closing diagnosis prematurely, will help, I think, clinicians at every level.
