However, there are some minor, annoying bugs to fix. I’ll raise rating to 5-star once those fixed: 1) It doesn’t retain Wx/Wind = Text setting (Enable Tap Setting is disabled); after cycling through bar/map/circle view, it always defaults back to Icons. Annoying. 2) Personal Visibility minimum have to be set to for example 3.99 if 4.0 is desired, otherwise it would be “black” on Circle View. Same goes for Ceiling minimum, e.g. 4999 for 5000. Minimum should mean “at or above”, and green in Circle View. 3) Temperatures shown in Map View are in Fahrenheit after changing Unit to Celsius. Also, default should be Celsius in aviation. 4) Tempo label in Circle View extends over the boundaries of the black background circle. This is just cosmetic. 5) Should also be able to find Personal Minimum settings in Settings menu. While it is in the tutorial, it is not very intuitive, or easy to find those settings unless going through the tutorial (tap and hold on Mins circle). 6) METAR needs to be tapped to cycle through, while TAF needs to be swiped vertically to cycle through. Users end up doing all kind of taps/swipes, as it is hard to remember unless app is used frequently. Needs a more consistent way for cycling through the categories. Tap is easier. Maybe icon/text mode switching needs to be taken out from gestures (or use tap and hold for that), and use quick tap for cycling through both METAR and TAF. 7) Would be nice if the Tempo stripes could be tapped on to get more info on Tempo. (I guess this one is harder to implement.) 8) TAF Visibility is shown as 6.2 when it is greater than 6SM. While it probably comes from the conversion from 10km to statue miles, it looks strange. 6.0+ or similar abbreviation would look better IMO. 9) Bottom menu bar should be more consistent regardless which view is selected. Mins button is jumping to other side, aircraft icon is only presented in circle view, etc. Suggestion: right side of menu bar could always stay the same (same buttons), while left side of bar would show specific buttons relevant to the actual view selected. Great potential, fantastic new way to get an understanding of the weather along the whole trip. Hopefully, these get resolved because there is no other app that is so intuitively different when it comes to presenting aviation weather. Super useful. Good job!

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years and really like it. Didn’t mind paying twelve bucks or so but $45 now? Forget it, you lost me. Good luck with your new business model.
  • Great for Photographers Too

Hey. I’m not a pilot, but I am a photographer. I use the cloud coverage feature to help plan my natural light shoots and I love it. Very accurate.

Most phenomenal aviation app...a must have for ANY pilot, student, sport, private, commercial...virtually anyone who pursues aviation. There is no better weather product even close. The visual design of ALL pertinent weather information is like the advance from a DOS operating system of old, to the graphical user interface that drives all computers today. I MUST add that the support help is beyond GREAT and very timely. My question was answered immediately by the developer- even over the weekend. No waiting for superb help. A great app and a great response team.

  • The best aviation weather app available.

Hands down the best aviation weather app I’ve used. It is easy to quickly see the weather I can expect to be flying into and adjust my departure time accordingly if needed. It has reduced my preflight planning time significantly so I can spend more time doing what I love. The personal minimums is an amazing tool to use when you first start out flying and then change as your skill level increases. Also, being the geek that I am, this app is super useful on road trips. My last motorcycle ride was much more enjoyable when I could plan it around the expected rain.

Couldn't retain my airplane settings. Couldn't add my personal minimums. Not ready for prime time! Poor design, no clear settings menu or screen.
