    Lag time on the live feed is an entire 40 seconds. A lot can happen in 40 seconds.

    Update: The new iPhone/iPad app does work on the new MacBook. I had earlier reported the update no longer worked. However, it’s no longer available on the Mac App Store.

    I am fine with the recording timelines and prices. All seems fair to me. Their service is horrible, however. Customer service is non existent. App is outdated at best. I’m being charged but have no active subscriptions, and no amount of emails has helped. I would choose another camera provider.

    Editing from my original review. Lowered to single star which is more than I think it deserves. Not sure it matters but there’s no way to tell if issues are with the app or the actual product but it comes down to one simple thing. The main goal of having security devices is to have more secure environments which this companies product does not do. Terribly disappointed in this companies products as none I have used have helped at all. There are way too many issues and I would not only not recommend their products but would advise against their use and installation. Could even be a false advertising issue as none of the products features are delivered on in a useful way. I’ve never seen any other products in the same category perform as poorly as these do. Having needed to put holes in my homes walls to install these products I am quite upset overall. I use this app for a doorbell made by this same manufacturer which is now totally useless and must be replaced after fixing the damage done by installing the product. The video lags, as does the audio. Audio stutters and is almost impossible to hear even with volumes at maximum. It is so bad I had to just open my door and speak with someone when it was important to be able to record both their actions and the conversation which could not be accomplished. At times it can take up to 5 minutes to even notify of motion, if it notifies me at all. This is unacceptable and renders the product a complete waste of time and money. I do not currently pay for the subscription service, which is advertised as optional, due to issues being present when I did pay for it. Immediately after I was no longer a paid subscriber the problems have gotten much worse. A call to tech support was no help and they blamed it on my internet connection. I did not inform the person I spoke to but the internet had been updated after the initial issues to be sure it was not a connection issue. According to the tech I spoke with my upload speed needed to be over 2 mb/second which it is, but it was closer to 1mb/second when I originally installled the product and had no issues for a few months. This leads me to think they were passing the blame and avoiding having to warrantee the product which the available window to have done has now passed. Due to the above issues, as well as others I don’t feel would make any difference given the above already makes the product useless, I would not ever recommend anyone use any of their products. Just pay the higher cost of the ones that are known to work correctly and not have to deal with problems.

    I’ve owned two Zmodo Cameras since 2016. They worked great for years. Originally purchased as a baby monitor and they performed as expected actually better than expected. Skip ahead four years and what was an awesome application with affordable cameras is no longer. I’ve been beyond disappointed and frustrated this week. The application is no longer notifying me of sound or movements. My camera that was once used as a baby monitor turned into a nighttime seizure monitoring/notification system allowing for me to keep eyes and ears on my son who’s got Generalized Epilepsy. He’s been seizure free for almost 2 yrs and just started having breakthrough cluster seizures lasting over 10 mins. (Life threatening) Now I’m stuck with a pointless device that won’t notify me if he moves throughout the night, let alone have a seizure. These are hitting the trash and it’s time to find a reliable company that would never pull the wool over their loyal customers eyes by forcing a subscription in order for their device to truly function like it use to. Key words USE TO!!!
