Description

BassForecast is the hottest Bass fishing forecast app. In our Pro Angler catch rate study, 68% more Bass were caught per hour than the average during top 20% BassForecast Rated days and a whopping 305% more during top 10% rated days. Designed exclusively for avid Bass Anglers and powered by AccuWeather, BassForecast analyzes many variables proven to affect Bass feeding behavior to produce a BassForecast Rating (BFR) from 1 (very tough conditions) to 10 (excellent conditions), for each day over the next 10 days…for any location in the United States. Knowing the feeding mood of the fish helps you in 2 big ways: #1 – Our rating system helps you plan 10 days in advance to be fishing during the highest rated days, which increases your odds. #2 – Our new Tips section helps you figure out bass catching patterns faster…even on low rated, tough days. How many times have you left the lake wondering what you could have done differently? BassForecast Tips offers Location, Presentation and Bait Tips dynamically adjusted to each day’s conditions, rating and season. Most importantly, BassForecast automatically updates its Ratings and Tips based on changing weather forecasts & conditions. Just enter your desired fishing locations and BassForecast does all the work for you. To develop its proprietary BassForecast Rating system, BassForecast researched temperature transfer reports from water engineers and bass feeding behavior research reports from fishery biologists. The system analyzes past actual and future forecast temperatures applying the Temperature Time Lag Effect© because water temps LAG air temps. It also adjusts for seasonal hours of daylight, wind speed & direction, moon phases, peak feeding periods, sky conditions, rain….and atmospheric frontal conditions since Bass feed more actively during a rapidly falling barometer and less actively following a rapidly rising barometer. Everything you need to plan the most effective Bass fishing trip are in this app! Says today is sun and 77. It’s actually rainy and won’t get above 65. If the predictions are based on this, then it’s really of ittle use. Would definitely be helped with some more explanation of the reasoning behind the recommendations.
  • Customer service is terrible

I lost my phone and signed on with my new phone, now I have no access to premium features, support asked if I had my old phone to update it through there so I can restore my purchase, well no I can’t because I lost my phone!! And now I’ve sent three emails to support and they won’t reply LOL. So don’t buy premium if you ever think there’s a chance of losing your phone.

It’s decent, but I wish it taught you how to recognize a good day on your own.

So I was introduced to this app by my fishing partner. I thought it was a joke and the joke was on me. I can’t believe how accurate it is I would recommend this to anyone after that big bass. Thanks Randy from Minnesota
  • Not impressed

The ratings make no sense and the features are really generic. I have not seen a difference between poor days and epic days and their bait selection covers most presentations everyday. Definitely not worth paying for and I’m disappointed that some of the pros have been pushing it out like it’s a great tool.
  • Why can the app not find any lakes in Northern California?

Seems odd that there would be no info/coverage for lakes in Northern California where it’s heavily populated, there are numerous tournament fishing spots and lots of people fishing. The only lake I’ve been able to find where I get any change in locations and bait suggestions is Clearlake and there are no specific locations, just generic info like “points, creek channels”. Haven’t seen ‘Presentation’ suggestions change yet regardless of what area I check, so don’t know how specific that is to a certain lake, but seems like just generic time of year into and not situation, area or lake specific. Not sure yet if there is any value in the rating/times if I just find some location in the vicinity of a lake I want to fish, but I suppose I’ll try it a little more and see. *Update/response to the developer - I have no problem using the search function. I just had the expectation that the information provided would be more specific to a lake. Yes, I can search by zip code - the app still does not come up with the name of the lake itself. I can search 94558 and I get Napa, CA but Lake Berryessa does not come up in the search. That is okay I suppose, since there is no information that is specific to the conditions of a given lake within the app. Three suggestions for locations - 1.) change the prompt to save ‘name of location’ instead of ‘name of lake’ 2.) allow users to search for a location and NOT save it. The app currently only lets you keep or change the ‘lake’ name. 3.) allow users to DELETE locations. What could take the app up a notch would be if anglers could give feedback within the app regarding the bait/location suggestions as to whether or not they are having success with suggested baits on a specific lake based on the conditions of that lake.

This app has helped get my PB and lead to killer days. The basic version is great, but if you are an everyday fishermen like myself then the premium options are worth every penny. I would recommend this app to anyone serious about fishing
