  • Email link sharing dangerously bad

The system to create links to emails is terrible. After creating links to some of my email threads, they are now forever uploaded to the Spark cloud, and there is no way to remove them. I exchanged dozens of emails with Spark support but (in my case) there is apparently no way to remove email threads from the cloud service. Another issue is that saving calendar events in Spark will automatically invite everybody in the email: if you are trying to save a company event - you will uknowingly email the whole company. If you avoid sharing and calendar options, Spark makes the overall email experience less painful, with useful features like snooze and reminders. It is mostly reliable. Some features are missing like 1-click unsubscribe. Message formatting is hard to control.

Snoozing emails until I need them has been a game changer for me. Excellent feature that makes inbox zero a reality. I completely rely on it now to organize and schedule my todo list.

THIS WORKS PERFECT. ZERO ISSUES. Switching from smart inbox to classic inbox is SO easy and incredibly helpful when trying to look through a swath of e-mails chronologically. The handoff from mac --> ipad --> iphone is buttery smooth. I personally use TickTick as my task manager, and the ability to import e-mails into TickTick as tasks without ever leaving the Spark app truly sets the bar for third party app integration. Spark combines utility and simple (yet elegant) design to create a user experience that just. makes. sense.
  • Excellent Email Client

I have tried (in this order) Mail (Mac), Outlook and now Spark and I can say that Spark is hands down the best. I wasn't particularly seeking out a new email client but Mail started scrambling my senders and literally associate the incorrect address with messages so I swtiched to Outlook for a while. But there I found that the calendar integration would only work if I also imported the associated email account. There's very limited ablility to customize settings for different accounts in Outlook so anything I wanted to do differently for my personal email account (like block notifications) applied to all. After repeatedly hitting walls in the legacy email clients I was a bit incredulous that they were so bad despite literally decades of use and I decided to look for something better, I mean it's the 2020's for god's sake! Enter Spark which was incredibly easy to setup and use and just works well. I do wish there was an option to display threads in reverse chronolgy as well as a celendar side bar but these are minor issues. Thanks Spark!

A few years ago I was drowning in email. Hundreds per day. It was madness. This is up until I found Spark. While having used other software to reduce the sheer number of emails I was getting, Spark helped me control the flow of the emails i wanted to keep recieving. Now I don't have to worry about separating important emails from ones i would never open in the first place. The Smart Inbox feature is a lifesaver. I use it on all my devices now and will never go back.

I've used Gmail. I've used Outlook (old and new). I've used Apple's default app. The interface of Spark is just magic, striking a near-perfect blend between categorization and a unified stream. The gestures are a lovely change from tiny interface buttons. The seamless integration of search and smart folders is brilliant—but I do wish search could include logic operators like AND and OR.

I love all Readdle apps including the Spark mail (both ios and macos) for some reason, my default ios app does not connect to my work but Spark mail connected like a champ without a hickup or any trouble shooting. Same thing for Spark mail for my macbook is great for managing multiple emails from different services. It alos includes many productivity tool which are useful that goes hand in hand. Keep up the good work guys!

I'm a heavy user on Outlook at work. That is the standard on our Windows system at work. I had purchased Outlook for Mac to match my work however it's been over 2 years that I could no longer go back to use any Mail app including Apple's Mail after experiencing Spark. I am much more efficient on my Phone / iPad with Spark due to it's easy and well touch fucntionality. I also enjoy the Mac version too. Most of all the Spark team are continously updating and optimizing it which shows their dedication to make it the best all the time.

I love Spark, I've been a user for almost a year now and I've loved my experience both on Mac and my iPhone. The design is a pleasure to use and it's made checking my email much less of a chore compared to Gmail and Apple's Mail. It integrated seamlessly across multiple accounts of iCloud, Gmail, and Outlook, and the prioritization of emails in your inbox and the flexibility of Spark have been lovely. Would highly recommend.
