  • Amazing Self Guided Tour!

We so enjoyed the self guided walking tour of New Orleans’ French quarter! We had already done a ghost tour and a swamp tour, and just wanted a low-key, unstructured day. We were able to stop into shops along the way, grab lunch at one of the places pointed out in the tour (Napoleon House) stop in some of the bars they referenced for regional cocktails, etc. It was a perfect way to learn some interesting facts about the city’s history while having the flexibility to pause and enjoy the experience at the same time. Especially good for introverts like us! Tour groups can be so socially exhausting. Highly recommend!

I used this guided tour in Boston for the Freedom Trail. I really enjoyed the narration and the fact that it’s GPS tracked. I paused the app when I hit stops I wanted to explore. It app got confused a bit but was fixed once I restarted it.

Did the audio tour for the Freedom Trail from Boston Common to Bunker Hill and loved it! The narrator have clear instructions from point to point. The audio was clear and easy to understand. There was a slight delay in the play and pause button, but I’d highly recommend this tour.
  • Good info but the app is terrible

It won’t let you stop and start the audio well. If you leave the app you can’t come back to your spot. If you try to move the audio position it just slides the page to the next tour. There are a number of big problems with it. Not worth the money.

Well worth the price. Provides general info for each stop and also provides misc info of places between stops that I would not have seen if not for the app. My wife and I were very happy we bought. Worked great on my iPhone.
  • Great app for tourists on their own schedule

We were on vacation in New Orleans and wanted to tour the garden district. The local guided tours weren’t crazy expensive but could not find one that fit our schedule. Started searching and landed on this app. A great find with exactly the tour we were looking for and at a great price. The guide spoke clearly and gave good descriptions of each stop along the way. User hint, bring a backup power supply if you’re going to use the GPS feature, I did and needed it for the hour and a half tour. Developers, a 15 second back button would be helpful if the user missed an important detail. I could not make the slide bar work the skip back and forth on the timeline, maybe just me. Also maybe enlarge the play button and reduce the lag from pushing the button to audio start. All in all a great idea and app, we’ll certainly use it again on future travels.

The app is free but you pay a whopping $1.99 for each tour. Best $2 I ever spent! Really, stop complaining. You’ll get a great tour to experience at your own pace, and the text of the audio (with pictures) adds to the experience. This app exceeded my expectations.
  • Needs updating

Needs maintenance & updating. The info was not current (e.g, there are more WTC buildings now). The volume of the guide DRASTICALLY changed from one segment to the next; could hear her typing on her computer while listening.
  • Free app is not free

I downloaded the app to do free walking tours, and every tour cost money. I thought a free walking tour was going to be free. I don’t mind paying for an app, but I don’t want to be manipulated.

Read an article where they said brooklyn bridge tour is free but in fact costs several dollars in app.
