Description

The music you love, blended with the voices you care about. Pick your favorite station and start listening. Find some interesting people to follow and you'll hear their voices between your songs. Want to listen to Today's Hits, but hear the voices of your best friends pop in after a few songs? You can do that. Want to listen to classical music but hear ABC News headlines and podcast comedy clips pop in after a few songs? You can do that. Want to hear mostly music or mostly talk? Yeah, you can do that too. YOU control the mix of songs and voices. Broadcast your own voice to your followers, and they'll hear your unique personality right alongside their favorite songs. Record up to 30 seconds of audio in Slacker Studio (we call that a "Break"), add custom images and comments, and then publish straight to your friends' streams. Want to share some music? Record an intro, attach it to a song, and broadcast it to fellow Slacker Studio users. Our Facebook and Google login options are for verification only. We won’t share or collect your data or post to your social apps unless you tell us it’s OK, and we promise we’ll ask your permission first.

It's gotten much worse. I can't find the stations I've played. Pandora is head and shoulders better. I used to love Slacker. What happened to it?

Long time slacker radio listen 10+ years and it was great - it was like someone took all the good things about Zootv /early independent fuse tv/ every alternative/underground radio station to find some amazing artist. Like real musicians and artist . I get it - obtaining licensing is hard but who the hell green lighted this change to the app? This is a product of what ADHD/lack of communication and a sense of no general creativity give you in a world that’s so dumb down that music once a inspiring and life changing audio waves to now the miseducation of today’s ignorance and lack of going to the past to create a better present. We deserve better slacker and this new slacker has dropped the ball. Stop trying to compete with today youthful glam and put more focus in about the content you play - the history & giving the public, music and talk radio that makes individuals reflect and search for entertainment than the corporate mugs who forces what we should listen too. Instead help us find it and ourselves. Look at past to see the future.

The whole radio cuts off to the station you are listening to because of licensing limits. You have to search a different station just to continue listening to music. At least with Pandora it only stops you from skipping songs but you can continue listening to music. I do not recommend this app to anyone.

I have listen to slacker for 6 years. I credit the perfect music list. The app needed an updated. Now everything is gone. No songs or playlists. I’m so hurt. Every song scattered.

I love the idea and listen a lot. But it needs tweaking. 1. Having to play a new station for every artist you want to add to "My Station" is tedious. Allow searching by artist with option to add directly. 2. "TALK" frequency at lowest setting without being off is still very chatty. Every 3 songs is a bit much. 3. There should be a web accessible version that allows uploading of personality files so DJs have an option of using their studio gear if available and not just a phone mic.
