  • Cannot be canceled

This is subscription. The owner makes it hard to cancel, so I keep pay monthly fee even not using this app for years. Actually I didn’t remember when I have ever subscribed this service.
  • Limited content, poor exploration capabilities

There is no easy way to browse titles or indicate if we liked or disliked a book. Searching for something to read is equally frustrating: no sorting or filters available.
  • Stupid security

How many times do I have to enter my password AND get an OTP code? I understand security is the point, but if a kid gets a hold of my password and phone, making them sign in multiple times isn’t going to help. “Don’t require an OTP on this device” doesn’t work apparently. And then, before I have the chance to do anything you interrupt me again to give you a rating. Well here you go: a monkey could’ve designed a better app.

I guess if I want a reading-only tablet app for kids I have to buy a kindle so that it is physically incapable of video?

So I have a kindle fire and I used to LOVE IT, but it only has access to all apps on the weekends. That’s When I got amazon kids+. It was the exact same to the kindle, but access to all apps EVERY day, and I would recommend getting it. It even has mousebot, one of my favorite games.
  • AUDIOBOOKS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH iOS and Amazon doesn’t understand math

Even though I listen to audiobooks every day on Amazon’s company Audible, and share those audiobooks with my children on the Amazon devices, they refuse to let you hear them on this ridiculously designed app. After spending hours talking with people from Audible about wanting to let my kids hear the audiobooks I’ve purchased (which is possible only on Amazon devices) and then telling me I needed the Freetime app (which is now this app) I signed up. Only to learn that Amazon is “working” on making their proprietary format available on iOS. That, and Amazon can’t do math. One kid is 2.99. If you sign up two kids it’s 6.99? But it’s ALSO 6.99 for three and four kids. So you pay an extra 50 cents per kid per month for having 2 kids. The two-kid tax. That fact alone should be enough to make you hate Bezos and Amazon.
