    So I want to start off by saying it is actually a fun game. But that said, I have to give it only 2 stars and here is why: it is definitely a pay to win game when playing online. They have extra characters with more powerful special attacks, but they are all only by purchase and there is no rewards except going up in rank (which btw, means you will be playing more often with players who probably have bought characters). So either pay money to get the special characters or the game stays the same the rest of the time. The fact that the developers require you to purchase the game to even play and then the only way to get anything new from them is spend more money, these developers are pretty shady. Developers, keep the characters that you have for sale, but also put in characters you can earn for doing well in the game and then this game will be worth more stars. Update: Another issue I have with the game is that you have no way to report cheaters. Guy named purple kraken hit, on his first turn, four of my ships, one right after another. There was no pause to think. No way that guy could randomly hit four of my ships by accident without cheating. But this game has no way to report cheaters. So until they start fixing this game, one star.

  • Why do all of the board games need to cheat?

    Battleship, Monopoly, Stratego, etc. all resort to cheating. Why does the AI need to know exactly where your ships are? Because it does. Game after game you can see the play pattern. It takes all of the fun out of the game. Thank you Hasbro, while you got some of my money you will never get anymore.

  • Turn based?

    This is a functional version of the game you grew up with. The more modern version adds fun extra features. Where it all goes sour is for a “turn based” game, you have to stay logged into the game the entire time. You can’t exit and go into another app while you’re waiting on your opponent or you will split off into a game with a replacement computer opponent. Plus, after paying for a game, they nickel and dime you by making you buy more content if you want to unlock all the features.

    This game is so buggy I cannot believe that I spent $4 of my hard earned cash money to play this piece of garbage. I was playing this game with my friend and it kept crashing. We couldn’t play in peace! We couldn’t have fun!! This app is a lame excuse for a form of entertainment.

  • Need female of color (free characters)

    This game needs more free character. In particular a Afro American not an ambiguous race person and other free women characters.

    Gameplay is as expected, but lacks the option for “salvo” shots. Salvo mode requires different strategies so it would add more replayability. Another issue is that the initial purchase only allows the computer to randomly select 3 of the 7 captains. We should b able to play against all of them in commander mode, and it would b nice to have the option to select our AI opponent in offline mode. Developers should pay attn: this would give customers a preview of what the IAP commanders offer, and likely increase sales. The worse part is that I purchased all the boards/captains thinking that i would b able to play against all of them. Nope. Still only play against the same 3 AI captains. If they correct these issues it would b a 5 star game.

    I really like this game !! There is just one thing , all of the people that you can play with like the commander and things , you have to bye with money I wish you could earn gems and get them , because there so cool ! But all around a wonderful game

    This app keeps crashing! I can’t even complete one game with a friend, without a glitch or it saying no internet connection and I am certainly connected to the Internet. I want my money back honestly it wasn’t worth it.
