  • Multiplayer is terrible. Single player is smooth.

    This app is plagued with connection issues. I get turn freezes starting around generation 5 or 6. This forces you to back out of the game and re-enter or restart the game altogether. Meanwhile the game continues with the AI that will ruin your plans or waiting will eat up your time. If this happens enough times the app will drop the game and then you can’t re-enter the game. Their karma ranking system will then give you a hit for this because you “quit” the game. I’ve had cards disappear on me as well when I try to re-enter a game. There is no back button within your turn. Which has more than once hurt my gameplay as I mistakenly tap on something. Online multiplayer is just about unusable and then punished your ranking for their bugs. Offline play is smooth but the AI is a bit dumb even at the hard levels. It’s a good take on the board game. I want this app to do well because of its potential but it needs a lot of bugs fixed and UI improvements.

    With its incredible depth and excellent interface, this game is great to play solo. If you do not mind a 40 minute per player multiplayer game, this is a great buy.

  • Just as good as the board game!

    I’ve never purchased a digital version of a board game before so I was skeptical. But the game works well! Very easy to use and fun to play! I will say there are a few bugs with the timing system for online, and I’ve had issues with my time running when it not my turn or if the game is doing the animations. I wish there was a simple way to do private games with a less time sensitive feature. I’ve played the game problem 30 times and I’m looking forward to playing some more! Worth the money

  • The AI is Easy to Beat

    Beautifully designed game, however, I have yet to lose against the AI opponents. If you are planning on playing with people I recommend purchasing this game. Hopefully future updates will improve the AI. Race for the Galaxy and Lords of Waterdeep are good examples of decent AI opponents

  • Sound Issues

    I don’t have sound on my IPhone 12. If I use Bluetooth I have sound but not if I’m just wanting to listen through my phone.

  • Great Boardgame, Unfortunate Multiplayer

    It’s a faithful implementation of a great, meaty strategy game, but the interface has issues, and multiplayer is especially inelegant. This would have been a quarantine classic if it didn’t randomly and unrecoverable boot your friends.

  • Restore purchases is broken

    Absolutely love the new expansion for this game... except for the fact that I can’t play it on my iPad. I bought the expansion on my phone while on a trip and was super excited to play it on a larger screen except... restore purchases is broken and doesn’t work. Tapping the button just spins for a second and then nothing.

  • Has the async end game issue been fixed?

    When playing an async game, has the issue of not seeing results unless you are logged in been resolved yet? Without that fix, it makes creating async games almost impossible since people won’t join. In addition, the ability to create an async game without the need to wait in the setup screen for everyone to join would be great. We should be able to setup and leave and have the game automatically start once people have joined. Likewise there should be a queue of created async games waiting for players to join.
