Description

MyFridgeFood is an interesting and definitely quite useful tool. It presents you with two options – quick find and detailed kitchen. Both these pages have check boxes representing various food items. Just check the ones which you’ve got in your kitchen and it’ll show a list of recipes you can make with some or all of them. Click on the recipe and get the cooking details. Hence a nice tool to quickly check what food you can prepare with the items you’ve have at hand. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The app said free trial but it charged me the same day for a year without anything free and no way to contact anyone to get my $30 back!

It doesn’t do anything is actually says it does. The “list” you choose from is VERY limited. Like I wanted go find something to do with ham. They didn’t even have ham listed. I did a test of picking two different items, and they showed me ingredients in which I was “missing 14 more items” like the concept. But this ain’t it.

I clicked start free trial and it charged me $30. This is ridiculous. I tried the app and it did not even provide me with good recipes. There is no contact information for the developers. Don’t even download. Waste of time.

UPDATE: THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. After spending time doing research on the app and its developers, I have filed a fraud report to the FTC. I have looked at other reviews and see that the 5 star reviews are fake, and the real reviews fell victim to this scam as well. The developers website has no contact information, and all links listed to contact them are broken. This app is misleading and scammed me into buying the yearly subscription instead of the free trial. When you open the app, you can’t use it unless you sign up for the free trial or purchase a subscription. When I selected free trial, I was automatically charged for a full year. No options were given and it didn’t state how long the trial was for. I will be calling my bank and filing a dispute since there is NO way to contact the developers.

The 5-star reviews are fake. Half of them have the same text. They make you sign up for a “free trial” of premium (no way to x-out), and when you sign up for the *free trial* they immediately charge you $30 for the full year premium subscription. Luckily my bank is able to help reverse the charge, but this app is a scam, it’s not even a good app once you use it. Not sure how it’s still in the App Store honestly.

App said a free week trial. As soon as I clicked ok it charged me $29.99. Very unhappy. Would like a refund but can’t seem to find out where to communicate with someone.

Since when did you have to pay for this? Right before I went on deployment with the military it was free but I deleted it for obvious reasons. When I got back home I saw that you had to pay for it. What?

This company is a complete scam. The app asks if you want to start a “free trial” but as soon as you click the free trial, it charges you $30 to your Apple account. There are no options to get refunded the charge and they give you no profile information on the app either. The app doesn’t use ingredients from your fridge to find recipes either. Once you select the ingredients you have, it gives you a random list of recipes. The first 10 recipes listed had NONE of the ingredients I selected and I selected over 15 ingredients. Don’t waste your time or your money. These positive reviews are fake.
  • Pretty sure it’s a scam

I downloaded this willy-nilly and did the trial knowing I would cancel the subscription right after. After canceling the subscription about an hour later I got a PayPal notification I’ve been charged $30. So, of course, I thought I was being scammed. Looked into it and noticed an extra year added onto my subscription date. The weird part is there is no user interface to manage any sort of account -other than in Apple App Store subscriptions. App developer site is weird, no way to contact them. Really really suspect here.
