I wished I read the reviews before purchasing it. The custom verse can’t be edited after you put your entry on. I forgot to type some words on it but when I tried to correct it, it won’t let me. Contacted support and this was the response: “Editing is not available as the memorization would need to begin again anyways. Delete and re-enter. To delete, tap the *menu* button, then tap the "My Memory Verses" menu item. Swipe from right-to-left over the verse you wish to delete, then tap the "Delete" button to do so.” To delete long verses and re-enter again was such a waste of my time especially trying to do it on my iPhone.
  • Not the best.

The E Sword app is good for Mac and iPhone, so I paid $1 for the memory verse app. But there is a very limited fixed number of verses, some of which I don’t want to memorize. I would suggest two other free Bible verse memory apps...
  • Where is Leviticus 20:13?!?!

I don’t understand why are some missing? Total books are missing like Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, I want my money back! Leviticus 20:13 KJV [13] If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Don’t have access to all of the verses in the Bible. They make you memorize a certain number at a time (8). Want my dollar back, don’t get this app unless you want to learn random verses the deemed important.

I use e-Sword on an iMac, and missed the memorization tool on the Windows version. This is even better, being on my cell phone, which is portable and with a touchscreen!!!! Much easier than on the computer!!! Genius!

I love the format and the ability to customize verses I want. The only thing I wish, is that I could practice more. I frequently attempt to study when I have a few minutes throughout the day, but there are no verses to be tested. But 5 stars anyway.

Don’t be fooled. You do not get to pick whatever scripture you want from the whole Bible. Their list is limited. You have to type it all in if it is not on their list. This is not helpful for students who want to memorize longer sections of text such as the whole book of James. Not for the serious Bible student!!!!!
  • Great Method!

I love the method for learning with this app. Instead of just picking which verse you want to work on, it constantly rotates you through all of your verses, making sure you retain the ones you’ve previously memorized while learning new ones. This is by far the best bible memory app!
