Description

Developed by more8bit Bleak Sword is a dark fantasy action game tasking players to struggle across compact, cursed diorama battlefields. Through nine tense chapters, heroes must lift the curse of the legendary Bleak Sword by striking down all manner of creatures in every forest, swamp, castle, and dungeon on their journey. Invoke powerful magic, uncover helpful items, and level up your character to upgrade your stats before facing down menacing guardians. Once the curse has been lifted the challenging Arena Mode and thirty unlockable achievements await even the most accomplished warrior. Bleak Sword is designed to be able to play it easily with elegant controls allowing heroes to roll, parry, attack and counter-attack using basic movements on gamepads and touch controls. Scored by award-winning composer Jim Guthrie with sound by famed designer Joonas Turner.

    The second I turned the game on and saw it was made by devolver digital I knew it would be amazing like all the other games they made and it was. it’s amazing. easy to understand control I mastered them after level three. It’s one of the best games to play and is worth the monthly subscription to play it. This is a game I will be playing for years because of all the content it has like multiple difficulty’s

  • Poorly Titled Difficulty

    Not a big deal, but there are two difficulties available at download: Normal and Doom. The description of normal says “Enemies deal less damage and have less health”. Normal and less don’t go together, how can they have ‘less’ to compare to when it is already at normal, this description should go under Easy. 4 stars cause I still have to play, will update.

    I opened game to play and noticed the continue button was not available... tried everything and now I have to start all over?!!! Kinda don’t even wanna go through all that again!!!! Ugh!!! Over all it was great..

    I wish I could buy this game individually outside Apple Arcade. Through the sea of mediocrity, this was honestly my favorite, probably favorite mobile game I’ve ever played. I’d buy this alone for like 4.99 because of the replayability.

    The control mechanisms are out of this world. Simple, but deadly accurate and so fast. It’s so satisfying hearing the “clang” of landing a successful parry and landing a counterattack. 10/10 recommend. Perhaps playing against other players over LAN/nearby would be a fun new experience?

    This game was very fun and amazing to play through and is unlike anything I’ve ever seen or played, I loved the controls the 8-bit style and the fast paced fights and punishment for dying wasn’t too harsh either and every death was fair. I had an all around fun experience with this game

    This game is absolutely great I just wish you could unlock different swords,shields,or even different characters (maybe in a future update🤷🏼‍♂️) that would make this game even better but even without that stuff this game is awesome and packed with action controls are easy and you can master them pretty quick.

    Excellent little 8-bit adventure but why hasn’t it been updated with any new content? The last update was 1 year ago and mainly contained bug fixes. Could have new game modes or an arcade endless mode. Heck even more normal ‘story’ driven levels. It’s unfortunate that this gem has been neglected since it’s original release over a year ago.
