    I absolutely love this app!! I’ve been using my fitness pal for years!! I’ve always had issues with tracking macros because honestly it becomes tedious adding every single ingredient in most Puerto Rican dishes and Carbon literally has had everything I eat often with accurate macros!!! Can’t say the same for other apps out there. And the fact that the app literally changes your macros for you if you lose too fast is a game changer! It’s not your average tracking app. It’s literally like having a coach with you!

    Today’s update (12/14) erased all my new logins and food diaries. It won’t let me reset the coach settings either. Hopefully this is a big currently being worked on
  • Course correction for your diet goals

    There’s a lot of commonality between what Carbon Diet Coach does and other trackers. What has separated Carbon Diet Coach for me compared to other apps is its ability to assist you to “course correct” through its coach feature which makes adjustments to your targets each week, if necessary. Carbon has been key in keeping me on course the last six months allowing me to achieve my goal weight (30 lbs lost total). Now I’m looking forward to leveraging it to build towards my athletic goals as I return to my sport of wheelchair racing. This app has taken the guesswork out of making diet adjustments. By far that’s the best feature and worth the subscription alone. I find that the interface more streamlined and easier to use than other apps. It’s small yet powerful features like switching between units for food that makes tracking a breeze. Or the simplicity in its daily planner or views to see if you’re on track for your weekly macro targets that makes dialing in your daily targets effortless. Probably the one area where I see improvements could be made is with the barcode scanning and food lookups. This is less on personal experience because as a whole I have not had issues here or at least no worse than other apps. In fact, it’s been better than my previous tracker, which a family member continues to use. So it’s interesting to see how much more often I don’t get stumped with finding an item than them. Based on what I see with others that do have issues here it tends to be one of two reasons: you’re not from the main markets or you’re use to a certain well known large app with an exhaustive database. If either apply then you may have a different experience in this regard. Personally I’d find Carbon’s strengths would still outshine whatever deficiency it has in this area. Because at the end of the day regardless of what database is used there will be corrections and manual entries required with any tracker. After a short time how often you need to do that becomes minimal. I’ve had very few issues with the app. The one time that I reached out to support, due to a mistake I made and needed assistance in correcting, they were both responsive and helpful.

    I absolutely love Carbon. Long time user of another tracking app, but I’m a Carbon convert 100%. Carbon got me through my final weight loss plateau - I’m now at my goal weight with 60 lb total lost. What’s even more impressive is that Carbon is now helping me maintain my weight and build back my metabolism with a reverse diet. The coaching has been spot-on for me. Plus, the app is clean, easy to use, and not glitchy. Carbon is worth every penny!!

    This is the best app for macro counting, whether you want to bulk, lose, maintain or reverse. The scorcery behind the scenes takes all your data and your weigh ins and guides you safely through your macro journey. Another solid product by Layne and Holly.

    Been using MFP since 2016. So it was really hard to start a new habit. I committed to using Carbon for 30 days. The first week was rough, but then I hit my stride. I LOVE this app. The ability to break out snacks and desserts really opened my eyes to how much priority I was giving to “sweets”. So I learned something new about how I’ve been fooling myself. It’s easy to use and I enjoy the accountability of the weekly check-in. I used custom macros to align with Ted Naiman’s P:E diet as well as my activity level. I have lost 4lbs and looking much leaner! I am already small, but really wanted to lean out just a bit. I have renewed for another month and I’m very happy. I watch Holly’s videos and learn how she uses the app. So I suggest that as well. P:E+Carbon has me in the best shape of my adult life! Thank you!

    The app provides the adjustments to calories to meet my goals and takes all the guess work out of calorie increases or decreases at a fraction of what an in person coach would cost! If you put in the work to follow your macros you can achieve your goals using the carbon diet coach. I’m achieving exactly the results I desired! The science is in the app!

    Lots 10 lbs. in my first cut right away. That was amazing, but what has been even more helpful, is the consistent monitoring of how my body responds to different macros and calories. I finally feel like I understand how my body responds to food, and I now know how to fuel it for different results. Currently in a reverse and trusting the process! LOVE this app!!!!
