    Really disappointed today to see that the crossword app was capturing my paste buffer on loading. There is no valid reason for you to violate privacy in that manner. This could pose a high security risk depending on what was in the buffer. As a result, and after reading your privacy policy, I am deleting both the USA Today puzzle app and the USA Today news app.

  • Bad layout on iPhone 12

    The app renders the puzzle using the iPad layout on the iPhone 12 which makes the grid almost unreadable. Works fine on iPhone X though.

    Who uses the thing in the left side? Not me. Not anyone I would assume. The old interface was perfectly fine. Don’t fix something that’s not broken.

    Bad UI design, constant pop ups even after paying with coins for a puzzle pack, half the taps in the app don’t register, navigation is sketchy, unable to tell which puzzles I’ve completed from the pack I purchase. All around poor user experience

    The new layout of the crossword puzzle is whit awful. The puzzle is too small, the letter are too bug for the squares so it makes it hard to read. The squished clues and crossword on one screen makes it nearly impossible to enjoy. I really love the app and doing the crossword everyday but this new interface makes me close it every time I open it.

    The content is all Islamic. Unless you are Muslim or a WNBA fantasy baller this puzzle is not for you. The editor is a 26 year old radical who hates middle class Americans.

  • Poor customer service

    App worked well until last week when the tournament puzzle wouldn’t load. I contacted customer support and they had me delete and reinstall the app. When I couldn’t log in I clicked the password reset and have yet to get link to reset the PW. Contacted customer service again and they do not respond. Finally got email today saying that since I’d not responded they were considering the ticket closed. I responded with the info last week!! Ugh. I guess I’ll only get 6mos of use out of a year subscription to the puzzle.

  • “Crossword Pasted from Safari”

    Every time I launch or flip back to the already opened app, I now get a notification that “Crossword pasted from Safari”. Super sketchy. I’ve enjoyed the game otherwise, but this kind of sneaky behavior is a step too far. I’m deleting it.
