Carry distance measures to your ball’s landing point. Total distance measures carry + roll - Ball Speed: Exit speed of the ball immediately after impact. - Club Head Speed: Speed of your club right before impact. - Smash Factor: Ball speed divided by club head speed.     I don’t normally write these reviews, but the app and the hardware are amazing. Data matters. Distance control matters. Practice matters. At this price point, to be able to get accurate data, shot tracer and games is a huge win. Product is reliable, really fun also great to engage my kids. Congrats to the Rapsodo team and looking forward more fun.

    Loves it when it works—about 60% of the time. Not as much love when it crashes—about 40% of the time. I use it on my iPhone 11 so computation shouldn’t be a problem.

    So far so good, I’m enjoying the device and app. It really helped to dial in ideal launch conditions for my driver. One (simple?) improvement would be an optional comment field for the session. I.e. if I adjust settings on a club (loft) During the session Going forward I will not record it under the same club, But rather using a “dummy club” (1i) so I can see the difference in distance, ball flight, etc. It would be nice to be able to make a note on the session where I can record my changes electronically. E.g 4h = 22 loft; 1i = 4h at 21 loft, flat lie setting.

    New version wont run on my iphone 11 with ios version 14.2. I have rebooted, reinstalled and it locks up at the opening splash screen. It Was working yesterday, albeit with many crashes, now it doesnt work at all.

    Decided the shot tracer feature was the key feature separating the MLM from other launch monitors. I use this on the range with an earbud so I can have a record of my practice history and get shot by shot distance readouts in my ear without having to look back after each shot. (Would be great to have options to control what metrics the app reads out for each shot. Especially useful on down range shots when it’s hard to gauge distance. I also like using this in-round to let my playing partners get a drive or two on film with metrics. Fun to have the videos to share and Spurs up good competition and smack talk. The app has crashed a few times while using and I’ve also had problems with my phone overheating so hopefully these performance issues get worked out in later app updates. Overall a great tool and golf gadget. Would def recommend.

    Received my Rapsodo MLM this week and couldn’t wait to try out. I had my first session yesterday. It was very easy to set up and the accuracy was spot on. This will definitely save strokes next spring gapping my clubs instead of guessing and checking.

    I’ve been using my Rapsodo for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it! The app interface is good and it seems like the MLM gets pretty accurate distances. My only complains are 1) the club recognition feature often doesn’t work 2) the app will sometimes crash in the middle of the session or just not track some of my hits Neither of these two problems are a dealbreaker — all I have to do in these instances are just pick up my phone and fix the problem — but it would be nice to see these fixed or improved at some point.

    The fact that it uses your cell phone allows them to continuously add new features without having to buy or upgrade the device itself. The app is really easy to use and the launch monitor is awesome. Definitely worth the purchase. Customer service is easy to work with when requesting new features such as net mode which didn’t exist until it was requested. Looking forward to see what other features they bring to this. I brought this launch monitor to my Golf Tech lesson and compared the numbers to their $50,000 foresight. They are dead on accurate. They were shocked, and for the price.
