Description

«ROOMS: The Toymaker's Mansion» is a unique puzzle game inspired by sliding puzzle and platformer games. In a twisted mansion made of rooms that slide like puzzle pieces, the player should find a way to the exit by moving rooms and using what's inside them. As the player explores the mansion, various gadgets are introduced and make the puzzles more tricky and challenging. Set in a fairy tale-like world full of magical objects and spooky stories, the player takes a role of an innocent little girl, Anne, who was accidentally trapped in the mansion. As the story unfolds itself, the player goes through the dark legend of the twisted mansion. The game has 144 levels which are divided into 4 themes (mansions). Each mansion has basement levels where Anne can use her special abilities like using a cellphone to teleport, placing a bomb, and moving all rooms at once. «ROOMS: The Toymaker's Mansion» is a long awaited, official and fully realized sequel to «ROOMS: The Main Building», critically acclaimed and an award winning IGF finalist game released globally on Nintendo DS, Wii, and Steam. -Unique puzzle mechanic proven in its predecessor -144 puzzle levels=96 main storyline levels + 48 special ability levels -4 beautifully crafted mansion themes and music -Complete storyline with two endings

Though sometimes this game is hard, it is always rewarding to finally beat it. The graphics and sound are terrific and I enjoy even replaying some of the episodes.

My dad even has it! Omg, thank you for the puzzles! You know... in a original, The Mansion, the puppet was really scary, so after 5 years, 5 years! I found this, and discovered THIS puppet wasn’t too scary! Because of this, I’ve become a bit braver. Some people might say “ too hard! “ or “ too easy! “ but I think this is the best. Game. EVER!!!!!!!! The hint and undo system REALLY helped! In fact, i use it whenever i need it! Also i wrote the review called WOAH and that was just on my grandmas iPad! 5 years of fear, this had brung me hope and help, so tysm!

Ok, I just finished the final level, and WOW! ANNE herself turns into a puppet!? When I found out, then the credits then changed to a puppet walking through the hallways of the mansion. It was scary yet funny! You guys did a great job, and I thought of another name for a game that could continue the series! Rooms...... The Tallest Tower! Instead of being Anne, you could be a little boy named Max, who, just like Anne, is full of curiosity. The puppet would be Anne, while you try and find his kitty all the way to the top of the mansion. You could edit it so that the mansion is HUGE and TALL. When Max finds his kitty, she is kind of... a puppet-kitty. Then Anne comes out of nowhere and chases Max... to the puzzle room. His lantern, the toymaker, was expecting this, so then, Max was forced to touch the puzzle piece. Max shrieked as HE became a puppet, and Anne and his kitty were free. How bout that?

On the iPad 12 inch some functions in the upper right corner of the screen cannot be done, you have to stop at Basement 3 level 12 because the hint and go back clock icons block the room down and up arrow functions. No solution.. had to stop. Ruined it for me. I guess I’ll try it on my phone .

I could do with the score keeping. Takes all the fun out of trying things to see what happens. The snide comments on how poorly you did I could definitely do without and the terrible grammar sets my teeth on edge. Otherwise it’s fun like the first one was.
  • No Sound (updated to reply to dev response)

I just purchased and download this. There is no sound at all. Tried rebooting phone, uninstalling and reinstalling app, checked volume on both phone and app, verified phone not sending sounds to anything but speakers. My IOS is up to date. Any idea what caused this? UPDATE: I did double check to see if Other games have sound. Everything else seems to have sound and music. Ringer is turned up. I’m stumped. :-/

Wonderful levels. Bonus Basement levels means the intrigue doesn't seem to end! Get it! You won't be disappointed.
  • Couldn't ask for more from a puzzle game.

Hard but fair, well-presented, an interesting style of puzzle, and generally addictive as hell. Stayed the course to finish the main set of 96 puzzles; looked at some of the bonus basement puzzles but the variants they throw in were a bit too much for me. Still, quite a triumph by the designers.
