  • Good idea, but never any updates

I paid $7.99 for a 1-year subscription in October 2019. Since then, I've never seen a word-list update, and the last update to the app was almost a year ago. This should absolutely have been a one-time purchase if there were no plans for ongoing development. Charging for a recurring subscription is malicious.
  • Will Not Work after I paid for annual subscription

My 6 year old son and I found the Puku App yesterday, tried the free version, and loved it! We went through 4 words, and then it stopped working. We tried again the next day with no luck. We deleted the app and restarted my phone. And the app still wouldn't work. Was it because I didn't pay for the subscription? We decided to pay for the annual subscription, and still no luck! This is very sad. The app worked just beautifully the day prior. I have 4 kids ages 6 to 15, and thought this would be a great way for them to improve their vocabulary.
  • Nice Idea, Bad Execution

Limited vocabulary lists and inability to share app amongst different devices (even with same login credentials) makes this a loser. But only if you subscribe.

Excellent concept and fun to play. However, needs 1. More word list. We consistently run out of lists. 2. When I create a word list, it should be shared or has the option to share with all the players on my app. Please keep it going!! Thanks.
  • Too slow

Wastes so much time telling you that you are correct. Boring. Need a “speed button” or a “just skip the “puku growing whizzy waste of time graphics” button.
  • Not enough words for $8

I signed up for $8 which I cannot get back. There are only about 40 words in this program. I contacted the company and they said new lists should come out every month. I waited 2 months and they added 5 words. Otherwise the features of the program are good, just not enough words.
  • Has potential, needs a little more work

Enhancing and fun to play overall. However there are a few significant shortcomings that preclude me from giving it more stars. First, this is made by the dictionary - why the limited number of words? I have a profile for myself and quickly ran out of challenges. Huh? Second, my kids are 6, 10, and 13 - their lists and mine are almost the same (if not exactly the same). I love learning new vocabulary, so I was optimistic that I would have a good challenge. Finally, there should be a way to hear the word pronounced and easily get a definition. I’d also like to see some sort of memory challenge / revisit your old words pop up at certain intervals. Or possibly ones that were tricky. Optimistic that the developer is adding some of these features, especially for a paid app. Looking forward to improvements!

I can’t even get passed the loading screen! Please fix. I put three stars because I don’t know what the app really has in store.

It’s a good app. But I already knew these words. Maybe make it more challenging?
