    I've purchased and upgraded this software since its earliest version (DECADES ago!), and it continues to be my go-to graphics app when I have some complex repetitive graphics job that nothing else can handle with such powerful ease, or sometimes just a few simple effects or edits that is not worth firing up some other editor to do. It handles the big workflow issues and the little pixel edits quite nicely. And the fact that it is really solid no-crashes software is important. Oh, and fast tech support from the online forum. Oh, and if there's a rare bug or missing feature, an e-mail to Thorsten the developer gets handled swiftly and courteously.

    It does everything I need with more customizeability than any other software. I use conversion and the very customizeable slideshow feature the most. Altho the software annoyingly changed some keyboard commands a few versions ago, all software seems to do this from time to time, including Apple. The app has been around a long, long time and the developer is responsive to questions.

    A couple days ago I gave the updated Graphic Converter a 4★ review here on the Mac Store. I stopped at 4★s because, for me, the Slide Show was broken and would not always recognize valid image files as valid image files. The app worked fin, other than the slide show. ... I think it was within 24 hour that Thorsten Lemke, the app developer, asked me what was wrong, and how the problem manifested itself. He told me what to do, sent me links to a couple tools, and voila! It is all 5★s again! And one very special note. Rarely has any developer been so responsive to my problems. Thank you Thorsten.

  • Why can't it open WebP files?

    I've used GraphicConverter for as long as it has been around. I've been a paying customer for as long as it was possible to be a paying customer. But lately it seems that the tool is lacking more and more basic features, like being able to open WebP files and convert them back to GIF. There are plenty of free conversion sites on the Internet, why can't a local program do the same?

    I've used GC since, well, forever. I think I used the original version. It has grown from its incredibly detailed and complete roots to keep pace with the burgeoning world of graphic apps/formats. And when upon occasion I run into problems I am dazzled (no DAZZLED) at the speed at which I get assitance THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. I'm a very hard grader (D 75-79, C 80-87, B- 88-89, B 90-92, B 93-94, A- 95-96, A 97-99, A 100) and I give GC and Lemke Software an A/A . I would give it an A if I were able to manage the GUI a little better... I'm not sure if the shortcoming is GC or if it is me. There are precious few that match that and only one piece of software that has ever earned an outright "A ". If you are ever disappointed with this software give Lemke a chance and write to them. Assuming you stay within the bounds of its intended purpose, I propose you will never be disappointed. Most often, shortcomings are simply a matter that it "does it" I just didn't know how to access that feature.

    Bought on Mac App Store. Download hangs. Then finishes, then can’t install. Contacted Thorsten and he sent me a code for the actual download. Worked that way without issue - great customer service. Would buy app again, just not on Mac App Store.

    Having used GraphicConverter for over 10 years, I can say it's the best all around editor on the Mac. I haven't run into anything that I've needed to do that it couldn't handle. On top of that the support is excellent and very responsive.
