    I would have given a 5 star rating, but recent updates seem to leave Safari cache and history intact, rather than clearing them on browser exit. If I manually "Remove all unwanted data" the cache and history are removed, yet this is what I have configured Cookie to do when the browser quits. Please correct this, and it's a 5 star.

    Works great - installed on a Mac using Safari and the most recent version of OS Catalina. Initially had a problem getting it to work until I read the 'Safari data access' section in the Cookie manual.

  • Keep Cookie 5. Don't upgrade. Sloppy.

    Well I wasted $20 for this "upgrade" and now it's completely useless. In Safari it leaves favicons and other stragglers even though I've given Cookie full disk access. It never automatically removes anything even though I've set it to do so. I have to do this manually. Even though I've set it to flush everything upon browser quit, again, it leaves a mess. Very sloppy and disappointing. Cookie 5 was far more thorough.

    It if great at clearing out the unwanted data and cookies howeer you set it. Mine is done automatically when I quite a browser. I use Safari, Firefox and Opera and it plays well with all 3. It was a bit of a chore installing it since I needed to download other files to put in the System Library.

    My previous version was not updated, I didn't get an alert. The new V6.1.4 stays on my MacBook Pro 18 (MacOS 10.15.6) all the time.

    This is definitely worth upgrading from Cookie 5. The changes are subtle but significant. In totality, removal of what you want works better. One really nice thing is that you can control what parts of your disk you allow the application to access, which is a big win for the security minded. As for the app itself, it gives you flexibility in what you can do. Best I've seen. I'd give it 5 stars if there weren't that 1 feature I want.. :-)

    In the five years r so I've been using it, Cookie neverremoves ALL data that it says it will at browser quit. Google, Youtube and Facebook are among those left intact. It removes 95% of the unwanted data, cache, & trackers, but never all of them. Not happy about that, but it is much better than anything else I've found. Updating Aug,2020. Cookie 6 is not "cleaning" at all. Dropping the rating to 1 star because it does launch but does nothing else. Aug. 2020

    Been using Cookie for several years - it works as advertised - which is more than I can say for most other apps that I have downloaded. And the work it does appears to be perfect

    It used to exist in the menu bar only! Now it sits in the dock and doesn't go away. Why? If the app is accessible from the menu bar then it needs to vacate the dock. It should not be necessary in both places. Stupid!
