  • Fun game

The game is great fun overall and consistently give you a lot of free resources to continue playing. However, some characters/units are absurdly overpowered and hard for everyone to get, unless they pay. The game doesn’t seem rigorous on balancing the power, which can lead players to lose interest eventually.

This is the reason why every server is dead and full of bots to make players THINK they’re playing with a bunch of real players. There’s only a handful of players that stick around past a few months- those who have invested $ into the game and don’t wanna see their money being wasted. That being said, you have to continue spending OBSCENE amounts of $ to stay competitive, and the developers will shift the “meta” to render the faction youve just spent $10,000 on useless, making you invest into another faction so they can fill their greedy pockets. Everyone I know who spent a huge sum of cash on this game has quit bc they’re forced into an endless arms race. Every single one of them has quit the game with regret. A good game does not leave players quitting in anguish and regret. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for Ubisoft developers and their greedy agenda.

I don’t know just how hard it is to port a 25year old piece of software over to the iPhone but apparently it’s totally impossible. This is not the old heroes of might and magic which is one of the top 5 games I’ve ever played. I would drop 20$ just to get HoM3 on my iPhone. This is basically a garbage impersonation of that game. The only thing this game dose is remind of just how awesome the old HoM really is. After all that, I did play this game and even spent money on it, in the far fetched hope that somebody somewhere out there will re-do or copy the old games. What pisses me off the absolute most is the amount of time and money a company spent making this game look good and coming up with all the concepts in it. Taking what was an award winning game and turning it into whatever slapped together Frankensteins left over piece of trash this is. For all the people who ruined a classic and made this game possible you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
  • Lack of good support makes this game a complete bust

It’s a very fun game to play but PRAY you don’t ever have any issues. I have had an issue for three months and they just keep telling me I’m wrong. I’ve sent 6 screen shots and they still don’t seem to care. Hopefully someone will see this and their support will improve.

Keep having to re-login with an error about jitter to the server every few minutes. (No connection problems with other apps)
  • So much fun!

There are just so many ways this game approaches you, there is a deck building type structure, world exploration pvp, campaigns, storyline gameplay, and many ways to enhance your armies. I’ve always enjoyed heroes before it became an app game, and I’m pleasantly enjoying this version.

I do really enjoy this game and have spent more money that I should have, considering I never spend money on mobile games ever really. Great combat system for being a simple game where you only control the hero powers. Just be wary of some of the events asking you to spend real money like the initial “Bow of the Sharpshooter” where you have to spend money for 5 to 7 days straight. I did it and the game gave me no items like it advertised and/or the event was broken and doesn’t let you always claim the items. I contacted support who was initially quick. They stopped responding to me and the advertising was just plain false to get money at this point. Just be cautious on events that promise you items. This happened on an android device and my current iPhone.
