Description

Bark provides families with all the tools they need to raise kids in the digital age. Our comprehensive service lets you monitor content, manage screen time, and filter websites so you can get peace of mind while your child is online. CONTENT MONITORING Bark monitors your child’s texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, and more. Parents receive alerts only when something potentially problematic occurs online. You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about. SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi). WEB FILTERING Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more. BARK TESTIMONIALS • "My wife and I LOVE Bark. We've had some tough but productive conversations with our 13-year-old son. It's proving to be extremely valuable." — Josh L. • “It’s just another set of protections we as parents give our kids for the digital environment (or as my 10-year-old calls it, a “cell phone seat belt”). My oldest is a 9th grader, and while I trust her, I’ve come to realize through the alerts that some of her friends aren’t truly her friends. It’s led to some amazing conversations about choosing friends wisely and recognizing toxic people. While she wasn’t for Bark at first, she’s since said she’s grateful that I saw those messages because it reaffirmed what she was feeling but didn’t know how to verbalize without sounding sensitive.” — Bark Parent • "Bark notified me that my young daughter had unknowingly revealed her phone number to strangers on Twitter. The fact that Bark notified me was impressive and led to an informative discussion with her the same day." — Jon B. • “Since Bark alerted us to the suicidal language used in the Google doc that was being used in a chat document with a friend, we have seen both a pediatrician and a licensed counselor. We are hopeful for a positive outcome. Thanks to Bark for letting us peek into our child’s mind!” — Bark Parent • “This app is a lifesaver! It has allowed us to catch so many “red flags” in the content my kids have accessed on their devices and in their interactions with friends and other people online that I wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise. The big difference between Bark and other “Parental Control” software is that Bark allows your kids to have so much more privacy. It doesn’t show you everything they do, but sends an instant alert regarding any activity that might be concerning. Highly recommended!” — Bark Parent With Bark, you can help keep your kids safe both online and in real life. Try it out for seven days absolutely free! This app has ruined my relationship with my family and girlfriend. This teaches parents to be controlling ones and not talk to their kids about anything. It has gotten to the point where there is no privacy whatsoever. Don’t even try talking to you parent at this point because they won’t change their mind. They don’t need to be this overprotective and controlling. It ruined my life and I don’t want other people’s to be ruined too.
  • I saw a bunch on reviews so

Like I said I saw a bunch of reviews on this app and I agree like there will be family friendly you tubers and sometimes this bark app will not let me watch it.(most of the time the video will not have a cuss word.) And sometimes it doesn’t even work if I search up something that’s wholesome and sweet it will block some images but when I such something up that’s not so wholesome and sweet it will let me see those images. I found a anime that was banned in Japan so I searched it up on my laptop (that uses this app) and I saw some scenes. -From a scared sixth grader
  • Great app for IOS and Chromebook monitoring

I can monitor most of her accounts she uses on Chromebook as well as IOS. I wish I could monitor Hangouts though. She isn’t allowed to have social media but those are up and available to link for monitoring. Customer service is top notch, fast and friendly. Easy and simple instructions through emails or zoom calls. My only issue is that device cannot back up when it is under ANY WiFi. The device must be under same WiFi that is logged on with Bark parent app. It updates every 6 hours through that WiFi. If wanting before that, you can plug device into to the computer. Or do a search for device through the Bark desktop app over WiFi. The internet is a dangerous place that kids seem to not to realize at times. To kids it’s just a fun tool they can do endless hours of games and other technology. And that is true. But also, in a realistic world the internet is filled with bad people, drugs, porn, and endless other things we can help prevent as parents. And, if ever need be, save their life. I feel Bark helps us do this. On her IOS I’ve took away Safari and replaced it with Chrome browser. Since Bark can better monitor that way. I have added Bark Chrome extension on Chromebook. I’ve tested everything and works perfectly. All of this, plus internet settings helps prevent her from searching and finding things she shouldn’t find or see. Websites don’t have a rating. Bark is at a good price. At 14.99/mo after 7 day free trial. We love our children 💕 Thanks for Helping protect them Bark!
  • Good app, but

From a teens perspective- this app seems genuinely useful! I get that a lot of people in the reviews are my age and are writing bad reviews to put people off. I have been bullied a lot so understandably my mother wishes me to be safe. I’m at the age where I curse and make jokes about boobs and other stuff like that, and my mum needs to understand that. This app is great to make my parents aware of what’s going on but I truly wish I could freely curse and use what this app deems “inappropriate” words. I live in a school where I learned inappropriate things and words I shouldn’t even be remotely aware of at a young age because of it. I think they just need to learn how this world is and that’s they can’t always protect me from it.
  • Not able to make screen time limit

You have to use their times which is all day and cannot limit screen time to a number of hours each day. I only wanted my daughter on her device for an hour or two but you cannot do that with this app. I eventually wanted to use other features, but it cannot do the main thing I wanted which is also the simplest thing.

I’ve seen a YouTube ad for this and I’m sorry parents but this is not it. If you feel like your child is doing something inappropriate with their phones you should confront them in person and have that conversation with them you should NOT confront them based on some secret app you’ve downloaded trust me your child will not react the way some of these “parents” are telling you, this will only cost you the relationship you’ve built with you child
  • NO PRIVACY WHATSOEVER

This stupid app gives alerts about “violent videos” here’s an example, someone playing a cat game and crashing a lot, here’s another example but of bullying, the point of view of a Minecraft slime, something violent? More stupid Minecraft videos, this app gives literally no privacy
  • Why is it an app

Hate it why get the app parents look up sexual things to yet you choose to not let your child who's already of age to know about these things when they’ve already learned how their body’s work in the fifth grade I may be a parent but why would I moderate them and taking away their phones too it's just wrong because they have friends and videos that help them vent and help with stress and anxiety.
