    Agricola is my all-time favorite board game. During the pandemic, we’ve been relegated to playing online. We were playing the original version prior to the revised version appearing. The 1.0 release was not playable as it had too many bugs. The 1.1 release is a vast improvement. It’s playable now! Since the Revised version of Agricola is a more balanced game and because it has Android support, we use it preferentially at this point. The 1.1 version still requires some Major and Minor Improvements to be excellent. I’m excited to see it going in the right direction. **** Update: after playing the 1.1 version more, we found that it was not playable. Too many lost sheep and the like. Went back to the legacy, which is no longer available in the App Store. PLEASE UPDATE! It’s such a wonderful game.

  • Had to request refund - couldn’t build fences

    On first game we could never build fences - after using the fences space and going to our farm the placement button was blank and didn’t work, ruining the game we’d already spent over an hour on. We kept playing and tried on every turn but it would never work. Also had issues with using the holding pen. More minor UI issues: -The confirmation check mark gets hidden by the improvements pop-up if it’s showing. -The animations you’re shown after other players take turns are a bit repetitive and confusing, especially before each harvest. -If you prefer the card view of action spaces by tapping the ‘?’, the game doesn’t remember this preference and you have to tap the ‘?’ every time. -Sometimes you can’t undo an action, like when drafting cards. -When going to the farm view it’s not clear whose farm you’re viewing - it should default to your own. I actually like the overall design of the game but the fences issue made the game essentially unplayable - if they could make a few tweaks/bug fixes it would be great.

    My animals in Agricola just keep disappearing at Harvest time. I realize that animals will run away if you do not have room for them, but that is not what is happening here. Each harvest time, I have made sure I have plenty of room for the animals and their incoming baby, if applicable.But at the end of the feeding stage, at least one of my animals keeps running away. It is happening most consistently with sheep, and in the second half of the game, for no discernible reason. The earliest I have seen it is stage 3. Now I make sure I know exactly how many animals I have and where they are located before harvest time, and I have watched twice now as my animals disappeared for no reason. It is making the game unplayable because I cannot get the required number of points in the solo series with my animals keep disappearing. I lose at least one animal per harvest time. I do not think it is as bad as the reviews say; the interface is fine once you realize that you need to close the bar of improvements and occupations at the bottom in order to find the green check that lets you make a selection. But the disappearing animal issue is ruining it. I love this game and I want to keep playing. Please fix!!!!!!

  • Used to be a great game - update is horrible

    I used to love this game. It worked well and the UI was East to learn and use. Now, it is extremely sensitive and slow moving. I also can’t seem to make the animal holding pen work, or go passed 1 game in my solo series. So disappointed to see the revised version is much worse than the original.

    It is unplayable. Many bugs that require a restart. Placing family members hide space details and sometimes just get stuck without going where I drop them. I couldn’t even get the Starting Player and chose minor improvement to work. It would show the Starting Player text button but didn’t do anything when pressed. Same goes for the chose minor improvement. I just want the original version back that still works great on my older iPad and iPhone. I don’t like the fact that I had to pay for this version after I paid for the first version and all of the extra Addons.

    Asmodee has wrecked this app. To start, the account linking doesn't work, so I must choose between saving stats or creating a new Asmodee account despite already having one. The solo variant has plenty of bugs as well, including random crashes. If you have the old PlayDek version, keep it and avoid buying this.
