  • Great App - Very difficult to use

I really wanted to like the app and when it was finally dialed in on the course, I haven't seen better. However, after two rounds, it is still not worth the trouble and extra work. Here are examples. 1. I use an Apple iWatch on a course in the morning. App on iWatch didn't connect phone until 2nd hole but once I connected, it worked great. 2. I hadn’t tested it before the round so it took a while to understand the controls for the iWatch. 3. There is no function on the app that you had completed the round. My iWatch continued to hole 1 even though the round was over. I attempted to close the app on the iWatch but it still searched for distance even as I drove to the next course. I eventually had to turn off the iWatch to get the app to stop searching at the previous course. 4. iWatch app reverted to previous course in the afternoon when I was on the second course. iWatch wasn't connecting to iPhone. iPhone app was trying to connect me to previous course. I almost deleted the app and moved to another tracking app 4. Way too much time to correct the round after play. Probably 45 minutes to walk through each hole on both course. 5. Cloud function does not update. I updated rounds on an iPad but iPhone app doesn't update. Tells me all that work on the iPad to update the rounds is wasted. Overall, concept is fantastic but my time should be about playing golf, not inputting data or connecting devices. Other apps aren’t as detailed but give same real time data without the difficulty. Play golf, not input data.
  • Watch and phone not in sync

I actually like the app a lot. I didn’t utilize all the features it had to offer. One thing that I didn’t like is the fact that my watch distance and my phone distance were both always off by about 15yds. The phone was more accurate then the watch. In order for me to get the real distance, I had to open my phone and check it because the watch was never correct. PS. I kept my phone in my back pocket just like the tutorial recommended. Please fix this issue and a will give it a better rating.

While you may find a few very minor glitches in this app, there is nothing that is a show stopper. The support is the best I’ve ever encountered, bar none. If you do find a glitch I’ll bet it is fixed within a few days. That has been my experience. Beyond that the potential for this app is tremendous. I’ve barely scratched the surface and I’m guessing the app will continue to be refined with new features. The Auto Shot Detection alone is worth a subscription. Well worth taking for a test drive...

Love the concept. Unfortunately the app has no idea where the actual holes are. Cumbersome to edit. Spent over an hour struggling with it before realizing that most of the problem is that the holes are all wrong. For example, hole 13 on my course actually shows hole 4. At one point the app showed me hitting a 7 iron from the middle of Africa into one of the holes. I’m in Georgia.
  • 4.5 Stars, Almost Perfect

This app is pretty awesome. If nothing else, it’s great to have up while watching golf and jumping from hole to hole during the masters to really get a feel for what the pros are doing. I have the “birdie” subscription and it pays for itself by not buying a yardage book at any course. I feel I’m qualified to rate it as I’ve posted 29 rounds with the app this year, and I have gotten the full experience with the app. For reference, I’m a 5.5 GHIN handicap that shoots between 78-84, and my driver goes about 260 yards on a normal day. Overall, if you’re looking for a strokes gained approach, something that’ll track your yardages, and a good app to preview courses, this app is fantastic. I’m a super glad with how accurate the app yardages are while playing, and it has definitely helped me with my game in that I’m better prepared for each shot and I know where my weaknesses are after each round. My only issue with the app is that the statistics and interface feel a bit clunky. The analysis screens are good, but I feel like they are not presented well. There’s also no easy way to retire/un-retire tracked clubs for yardages, and I wish I could save/flag favorite courses in “play” course search area. Additionally, they need to add a round called “scramble,” “best ball,” or some other team format because I love keeping track of my team scores, but I have to delete them after each round to keep my personal stats from getting inflated. I do a weekly 9-hole scramble once a week but always delete the round, so it’s a shame their not saved somewhere such that they don’t contribute to my stats. To the developers, keep it up! This app is great and has a lot of potential. I think I’ll go for the eagle subscription next year, and I’m excited to see what y’all do next.
  • Great App

Tried a few different golf gps and shot tracking apps. This is by far the easiest and most simple to use. Auto shot detection works well, but I usually track the shots as I go since I won’t remember what club I used if I add it later. No need to input fairway misses, sand or green. The app recognizes where you hit and tracks all the data for you. It’s not the cheapest app around but has multiple options depending on what price point you’re comfortable with.
  • Fix watch crashing with new update.

This used to be a great app. The tracking information was so helpful especially strokes gained. Now it’s horrible. They tried to improve it but just made it more frustrating and buggy. I understand that upgraded software takes tome to smooth out. However, It’s not a cheap app so when you pay for a subscription you expect things to be sorted in a reasonable time. The most frustrating big is that now the app doesn’t cue you right away to enter your club selection. Also, why do I have to enter my score twice when I move to the next hole. Too many clicks to not be distracting now. Horrible upgrade.

  • App crashed on me on the 18 tee box

App crashed on 18 tee box and kept crashing every time I tried reopening it. Had to hit by drive without knowing what I was going for in terms of score and distance. Fortunately after get it back working after completely closing out of the app ( losing my entire round) I was able to remember my back nine and held onto my 79...got lucky I hit a good aggressive drive blind without the app and scorecard.
  • Strokes Gained BEST app

i looked at lots of apps to track data. this is hands down the easiest, least intrusive, most complete data tracking app out there. The customer service is over the moon good. The on course distances are accurate and make visualizing the shot you need to hit much easier than my Bushnell or Garmin.
