the sign in windows popup, I was expecting a registration page, anyways, I enter an email and password. It said that my email is not registered. I looked around for the registration link, but nothing. For starters very poor design.

What should we do without a full Instapaper App for Mac? I have been using Instapaper App on iOS and it is so great. I was so eager to use the same app with the same functions on Mac OS and I installed this app. But...

It needs to support the ability to either auto-fill the credentials via a password manager or at the very least allow one to paste the password in. Thanksfully, logging in shouldn't need to be done often.

So you have to type the password manually. If your password is auto-generated, it's a little troublesome. Everything else works fine.

Radio silence all summer, then this? Why is it missing key features of the old extension? If you're having issues with the new Safari security framework, be open about it. Don't keep us in the dark. After all, we pay you annually for your premium service. Update: 5 weeks later, still at version 1.0.
  • Can't paste passwords into login form; otherwise reasonable toe-dip foray into the Mac

Adds a Safari toolbar button that—when clicked upon—sends whatever you're looking at in the current tab to your Instapaper queue, then temporarily displaying the familiar Instapaper banner at the top of the page confirming the operation, and allowing you to optionally file the item somewhere besides the general "inbox". Glaring bug: the app's login window disallows the ability to paste the password; this silly bug disincentivizes the use of strong, site-specific passwords. Because the system's default password input box supports pasting passwords, it is almost painful that this is the case, and prevents me from granting more than 2 stars for this version. Fixing this bug will bump my rating to 3 stars. The path to 4-stars from me would come from the addition of the following capabilities: 1. Keychain support. 2. Support as destination for URL share sheet. A 5-star product would add the above, system-level capabilities plus third-party password wallet support. Also, a keyboard shortcut would be lovely 😉

    1. Can't paste password. Why? 2. No feedback at all whether submissions were successful or failed. Where is the banner? 3. Where is the keyboard shortcut? I don't like buttons in my toolbar. The keyboard shortcut is much more efficient. I'll go back to the bookmarklet. It's better.
