  • Won’t work in Safari or Chrome. .

The web clipper does not work in Safari, so I tried Chrome. It shows me the box on the right of the screen, I try to save a web page, and the web clipper crashes. Nothing is saved. The current update will not load at all. I’ve been a user since the beginning of Evernote and recently, finally, became a paid customer. Unless this problem is fixed, I will only be a paying customer for a year. I will be looking for an alternative, sadly.
  • Works 40% of the time

I give it 40% of the available stars because that's how often it works. For what appears to be no reason at all, when you click on the icon the clipper will not open. It never used to be this spotty. In fact in the old version I don't remember ever having a problem with it. Would be nice if the Evernote people would fix it.
  • It's great in concept, but needs improvement

I love Evertnote overall but I think the web clipper needs improvement. I would appreciate it if when I was opening something that I just saved, it opened the app, and not the web version of Evernote. I do not use the web version of evernote, I use the app, so it feels like there is a disconnect. Another simple fix would be that when you are saving an note, I would like to be able to title the note easier. I always have to open the app and rename the note I just created to what I would like because it automatically generates a name that doesn't neessarily work for my organizational system. If those two improements were made, it would be a signficant help.

I LOVED the previous version- fast, easy, reliable, and best of all, you could add aseries of clips to a single note, and easily type comments. I used this feature almost daily. The new versions doesn't allow this. It even needs to relaod between clips grrrr- makes me think that after all these years, I may need something else for this purpose. Overall, the app is excellent, and extremely useful. It's great for finding saved items even when you cant remember all the details (hey- it worked for "where did I see that necklace on vacaction"- could even read the store's phone number off the door in the photo :) BUT-REALLY hate the "updated" web clipper. Here's hoping there's another update soon

Previous Web Clipper much better than this one, which does not save multipage documents as the previous one, even though there is a setting that indicates so, but it doesn't work. In trying to merge multiple notes, only titles get saved into the merged document. Many of the settings do not work, such as "use last clip format" for defaut clip action. Very cumbersome to use this Web Clipper that has too many bells and whistles, few of whcih work deceantly.

Evernote's web clipper used to work flawlesslt. Now it's a pile of crap. I've had it with Evernote. They keep screwing up what used to be a great app.

The Web Clipper is a really handy feature, that is, if it works. It get's stuck syncing, fails to sync, fails to load, fails to load the list of notebooks, or just errors out. This happens so frequently, that I am largely skipping it and copying and pasting directly into Evernote.

The title says it all. Used web clipper for many years successfully on Mac; but not now!

Does not work correctly. Pulls in bizarre spacing and all kinds of ads from each web page. There's a good reason why the Evernote Web Clipper has so many 1 out of 5 star reviews!
  • Can't Download App

Tried to reinstate the Extention in Safari, and it kept refusing to start the WebClipper. I've used this for MANY years, but this was strange. So, I uninstalled the app, and then, when I tried to re-install it, the App Store won't let me download it! All I have is the "Open" button! I'm not happy... not happy at all. You're KILLING my productivity!!!!!
