AdBlock Pro - Legacy

Hasn't worked once.

I downloaded this app/extension a decent while ago (primarily to combat YouTube's ads), and it's worked very nicely up until recently. I'm not very savvy in regards to the inner-workings of websites, etc., but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that YouTube pushed an update to combat ad-blockers & similar software. For about a month or two now (while watching YT videos), the occasional ad would (partially) slip past the ad-blocker. The ad (itself) wouldn't play normally, but instead displays a plain white screen in-place of the ad/video for however long the ad is meant to last (while also displaying the usual "skip" option). It's not nearly as annoying as experiencing the unblocked ads, but this new bug (or whatever) does push my buttons a little bit, as well as render this ad-blocker's usefulness for YouTube useless (for the most part and for most people). I'm rating it a 3-star for now, and will update my rating once this ad-blocker's developer(s) fix the issue.

Instead of updating app and its engine for people who already bought it, Crypto intentionally pushed an update that broke the existing app when trying to watch videos online. Bad business practices!

I bought this app in April, and within weeks they launched a new version that is essentially the same, but consolited with iOS.

Does not block ads on Daily Mail…still does not work

THIS APP IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I SPENT! It works PERFECTLY! Gone are ALL those pesky Ads! I have NEVER had an APP work this well. I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011 version and needless to say it’s up there in age so those Ads would slow down my computer when opening up a page. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!

I purchased this in the spring, just before they upgraded to the new version. App Store would not let me leave the review there, The upgrade went seamlessly thanks to Nabeel B.'s clear instuctions, and the new version is now up and running on my mac and iPhone

Just purchaced this a few months ago. Now you have a new version for catalina. Wont let me migrate to the new version without paying again. Not Cool!!!! Sent an email to support and received an auto reply stating odds are my email wont be replied to because of the volume of support emails being recieved... Great customer service... #sarcasm

I do really love this app. No more ads on a lot of the websites i use. It makes everything so much clearer. Although im not sure if its a one time purchaes or a mounthly thing?

Works fine until I try to unblock a website (add a website to the whitelist). This doesn't work when I refresh the page, as instructed; nor does it work to open the app and add a website to the whitelist. Having to open an app external to Safari at all to use the product is a pain.
