When I originally downloaded this app, I thought I would never use it. Now, I use it every day! Especially useful for remote presentations, to reference speaking points right below the camera.

Exactly what I needed to take quick notes while in meeting or multi-tasking. This app greatly compliments my main note app.

Less messy than the solutions I've tried in the past for random notes – BBEdit, TextEdit, the built-in Stickies. However, if I could have one feature wish fulfilled with this app it is that it supported strikethrough (~~X~~ in many Markdown extensions) – when I'm pondering a word choice for example, I want to keep a record of what I've brainstoremed. Right now I have to move it below a headline…works but ya know! Eitherway, this is an excellent app and I'm very thankful for it.
  • Nailed the need!

This is like having a nice poket book! However, it would have been much easier if a standard basic markdown processing-while-writing scheme was implemented. There is total anarchgy in the formatting; but for the concept alone it deserves 5 stars!
  • Notes disappear on restart

This most likely happens when iCloud is disabled. I had this app installed on multiple Macs and experienced the same problem. I wanted a local-only place to jot some quick notes, so I disabled iCloud sync. But if I restart the computer, all my Tot notes disappear from that computer and are replaced with the default notes you get when you start the app for the first time. Too risky to use if you *don't* want this to sync with iCloud. I guess it works for most people here because iCloud sync is enabled by default.
  • Free?

Free on the Mac but $20 on iOS? Think I will stick with Apple's Notes app.
  • Was yearning for this!

Tried a bunch of tools that let you take instant notes, and be in the top menu bar. Beautiful minimal design, Markdown support makes it even better! Thanks!

Thanks for the handy app! I don't have to use email drafts to save scratch notes anymore. I like that it supports the menu bar access so that my dock isn't cluttered with a lot of app icons. I do wish that it allowed access to other menu bar options (such as File, Edit, Format, etc) when I drag the main window off of the menu bar icon (not sure if menu bar apps are allowed to do that natively).
