Description

This app requires the Halo Band. Amazon Halo measures your movement, sleep quality, body composition, and even the tone of your voice, to provide a more complete picture of your overall health and help you build better habits for life. Key features: ACTIVITY • Informed by guidelines from the American Heart Association, Halo measures the intensity of your activity in addition to tracking steps and sedentary time. This means that working harder – for example, taking two stairs at a time, or going for a jog – helps you reach your weekly goals faster. SLEEP • Monitor the quality and quantity of your sleep, like how long it takes you to fall asleep, how much you wake up at night, and how long you spend in each sleep stage. BODY COMPOSITION • Halo's Body feature is nearly twice as accurate as leading at-home smart scales. • Body uses your smartphone’s camera to determine your body fat percentage, a better indicator of health than weight or BMI alone. • A personalized 3D model helps you track changes over time. LABS • Build healthier habits through 100+ labs developed by partners like Mayo Clinic, SWEAT, and Headspace. • These simple, measurable experiments and challenges help you see the impact that small changes can make on the way you feel – like whether meditating improves your focus, or if a pet-free bedroom improves your sleep quality. TONE OF VOICE ANALYSIS • Halo analyzes qualities of your voice throughout the day to help you understand how you may sound to others. • Being more aware of your tone can help you keep your relationships strong at home, at work, and everywhere in between.

Got this as a Christmas gift so have not been using it long. I am liking it for the little time that I have been using it, will know more as time goes on as it adjust to me and I to it.

I really want to give it a five star. But the four star for now, because just like amazon is like a one stop place for all, I would love to have halo track my calories consumed too. Now I use another app for that. I love all the features halo offer now. Another feature I would like in Halo will be HRV ( heart rate variability ) as this might help me to assess my level of stress.

some info. not great. same uninspiring labs every day, no way to mark as not interested. not very actionable. charging is pita. i’d prefer to collect data 24/7. tone readings are questionable. no ability to ID the source of tone rating. so makes it hard to act upon as well. heart rate monitor doesn’t line up with other heart rate monitors. doesn’t give resting HR, an average HR, or any inspiring exercise feedback. pretty much feels like it’s collecting data but not giving me useful info. band stinks, should be smaller, maybe even a tad flexible or rubberized.

Slim profile, comfortable and the knowledge is power. Great app combining just in time information with actual health data. Fantastic start. I wish it synced with Apple health, iHealth and had the ability to link in additional inputs like pulse Oxygen or BP. A food/mood tracking apparatus would be a major plus too.

I like this app and the Halo device. I bought it mainly for the Tone function. I help care for my mom who has Alzheimer's and found I was not speaking very nicely to her. The tone function has helped me to be more aware of how I sound to others and I'm doing much better in how I speak to her. It's a challenge to deal with Alzheimer's and this is a great tool to help.
  • Unfinished product

App looks slick at first glance. But as you start using you find a bunch of things missing. The biggest one that bugs me and makes me wonder if this was an unfinished product forcefully pushed out for holiday season is that there is no way to edit your sleep data. Every sleep tracking app and the whoop band, which they are trying to copy, has this feature. The band isn’t very accurate in tracking sleep data and I’m ok with providing input so it can get better as it learns. The result is a messed up sleep score, which defeats the purpose of using an always on tracking band! I also like the 24/7 heart rate monitoring, but it doesn’t do anything with that data. Whoop band (and I think the new Apple Watch to some extent) for eg uses the heart rate data to calculate and track your HRV and provide insight into your recovery. None of that is available here, which agains makes me wonder about the unfinished product thesis. Rating it 2 stars vs. 1, because I see the potential. If this was a newbie startup I could have given them benefit of doubt and rated 3 stars. But coming from Amazon, it’s hard to excuse the unfinished product feeling. Will happily update my rating when they come around to updating the app, until then, I can’t recommend this to others.

I love the sleep info! It’s giving me good insight into my sleep patterns. I like the low profile band as well. I am still discovering this band.
