Description

Art Text 4 is a graphic design software tuned for creating text effect and text style-based graphics. The app contains a multitude of text design presets and effects to help you create visually enhanced photo captions, logos, newsletter and flyer headings, presentations and even movie titles. Art Text 4 offers 180+ free text design templates, and you can get more via in-app purchases. These templates are great for a quick start and design inspiration. CREATING 3D TEXT • Unique 3D Engine. Type a text in Art Text, and watch it instantly create a 3D model from a user-chosen typeface. • Bump Map Technology. Add and fine-tune bumps and wrinkles on a 3D text surface to simulate the natural roughness of brick, ice, rust metal, etc. • Reflection Mask Tool. Maximize surface roughness authenticity with Reflection Mask, which defines reflective and non-reflective areas. It is especially useful for rusty, decayed or scratched surfaces. • Environment Textures. Environment texture is a great way to simulate reflections from external sources. • Light Options. Control the way 3D text is lit by moving spotlights and changing light colors. • 200+ Material Presets. Creating high-quality 3D typography is simplified with material presets. Each preset is an exclusive combination of texture, bump map, environment and light options. • Soft Shadow. Activating the shadow option will drop the natural shadow of a 3D text object. • Glow Effect. The 3D glow effect makes bright surface areas literally radiate. • Parallel Projection. See how 3D object view transitions from Perspective to Parallel projection instantly. • Facebook 3D Photo Export 3D text in the format suitable for Facebook 3D Photo. 2D TEXT EFFECTS • Spray Fill. Populate text with over 440 photo objects to simulate the effect of words being laid out with such objects as coffee beans, color balls, autumn leaves and clouds. • Distortion Effects. Edit fonts beyond common typeface options to wear out text sides, create random holes in the body, partially dim text and much more. • Shading Materials. Create convex and embossed text effects or replicate a gleam of light on text. • Twist and Bend. Transform text shapes with any of the 24 transformation patterns. • Text Outline Effects. A common set of effects includes: Shadow, Glow, Inner Shadow and Stroke. • Brand-new rendering based on Apple Metal. GENERAL • 180 text design templates. • 122 style presets for quick text effects. • 750+ supplied smart shapes, vector icons, symbols, signs and hand-drawn shapes. • 150 masks. • Dark and light appearance supported. • Extend workspace to an iPad display thanks to Apple Sidecar support. Export the entire graphics to PNG, PDF, JPEG, GIF, EPS format, alpha channel supported.

I absolutely love this app. I use it mostly to spice up my presentations in Keynote and PowerPoint. It takes only a couple of minutes to get a great looking header or even logo. The varietly of templates is practically limitless, but they also can be customized. I am so grateful to guys from Belight for this tool!

Great update, spray fill alone worth the price. I spent hours already playing with my own photo objects to fill texts. The distortion effect needs some time for learning, but the result is fantastic!

This app makes it easy to come up with some great artwork centered around your favorite fonts. I was put off at first by the in-app purchases, which range from $4 to $8 each, for like 25 oof them, but the developer explained to me that they included additional licensed fonts and professionally designed templates that the company had no control over. So there's that. But the app does a lot of really good things without any of those add-ins. I find it's very useful to deconstruct the included samples and use those as a launching board. I do recommend this app, it's definitely worth the $20.

They seemed to have fixed some of The Problems with AT3, such as Shadows being cut off when i copy & paste The Text to Pages. If you're exporting The Palette though, Everything has to be inside The Boarders. i thought that maybe that : Effects/Distortions/Roundness would allow me to 'Fatten' up The Text, as can be done with 3D Text, but it works somewhat differnetly. There are loads of New Things, & The Controls have been rearranged a little bit. The Extras are kind of Expensive, but they're Not really required. You can achieve any of The Store Bought Effects on your own after you become familiar enough with it ! One other that eluded me for a long time was, that you can create any black & transparent image as a .png or .gif & use it in AT3 or 4. Simply find it from : Shapes/Customfolder. It's still missing a few things, such as recessive text, as you might see in engraved roman carvings. & i would kind of like to see a 'SaladToss' Feature in which AT4 or 5 would Create a Completely Unique Combination of Features on it's own ( !!! )
  • Significant downgrade in quality for a good tool

I upgraded from Art Text 2 to Art Text 4. Basic tools like using suggested canvas size now result in portions of exported text being cut off. Text itself exports as somewhat fuzzier, and text elements that were separate end up blurred together. I can't use it in it's current state. I've had to go back to using Art Text 2.
