    Can not believe they’ve joined the gang of invasive full screen ads, let alone doing ads much at all. Will no longer be using.

    It’s a great app, no doubt about it but sometimes it doesn’t show me what I am looking. For example the other day, I was looking for a word- “Beware”. No matter how many times I tried, it kept showing me the meaning of- “fever” !!

  • Double charge, on their in-app no ads

    This app used to be great, until I upgrade to the new iPhone 12 and download this app, again. I accidentally bought their in-app no ads selection. Then I remembered that I purchased their power pack bundle that came with the no ads. Apple won’t refund my money, buyers beware.

  • More like the urban dictionary

    I found several definitions of words that are very different than in other dictionaries. For instance, look up liberal. Very different definition here than elsewhere.

    First I like to say, I do not have any problems paying for in app upgrades, I prefer it because it’s generally a better experience. Eventually I’ll purchase all available upgrades. Ad free purchased and offline. I do like this new UI and blue because it stands out from other apps in my reference folder. I’ve always preferred Dictionary.com because simply it’s what I’m used to and always offered better experience. What I need: Personal account/or ability to save words in iCloud folder that’s useful here which is a better experience than being in cache <— unless something has changed I am unaware. Speaker icon is a bit close to share icon, bit more separation would be helpful. I haven’t notice any other problems this far.

    This app is really the cream of the crop when it comes to dictionary, strengthening the mind in the morning with quizzes, and gasping knowledgeable words that people use in everyday life. Great Team, Great People, and Great Content! What more could you not ask for an app. *I Highly Recommend* This amongst my peers and you should do the same!

  • Recent “improvements stink

    I am a long term user. I liked it enough to purchase all the upgrades. In the last year or so it’s gone through a series of annoying cosmetic updates. Then it added a Google ad banner across the bottom. Even if you refuse ads and to share information, the area remains, lost screen space. I want a dictionary—about as static an app as you can imagine. I can buy a beautiful hardcover version for $20 with NO intruding advertisements. Electronic data should be cheaper. I’m tired of the avarice of Google. Can’t we have simple products—why must all be treated as hungry intruders. The app remains useable; I’ll be looking elsewhere.
