I get 10 scam calls a day and Line2 is doing nothing to stop the flood. They tell people just ignore it. It is effecting my business
  • Avoid at all costs, terrible customer service

Line2, if you're reading this, you can thank your employee "Brian C" for causing you to lose a customer today. I would give Line2 negative stars if I could. I was a loyal customer for years, but I am now leaving this disrespectful company and will instead use Skype. The customer service from Line2 is the most wildly unprofessional I have ever seen. I spent over 9 hours trying to get in contact with Line2 over a billing issue that I wanted to quickly resolve so that I could pay Line2 and resume using their service. After many calls and messages, I reached a polite man on the phone who tried his best to help me but couldn't. My many emails went unanswered, I often encountered bots who ignored me on the online chat system, and finally, "Brian C" said he would ban me from the online messaging system after I told him that the company was acting unprofessionally and that I would need to delete my account if they couldn't resolve the billing issue. My interaction with Brian was the final straw after many negative experiences over the years with this horrible company (and during the holiday season in a pandemic, how tactless). Congratulations, Brian, you have worsened your company's reputation.

This is a great service and the app mostly works fine running on the new Apple Macs with the M1 processor. However, dialing out does not seem to work. Please update this app to work on the new Macs. Would be a great feature!

  • Don’t use for phone number verification

I tried to use this for verification of an online account and it was “not supported”, so basically it’s useless to me. I wish they’d at least give you a free trial to make sure that it works. Now I paid them $11.00 for no reason. Should he considered theft and false advertisement. If the number doesn’t work like a real phone number, it’s garbage.
  • Great service until you try to cancel

Had the app for many years and it works well. Now I no longer need a second line and am learning that they make it very difficult to cancel service. You can’t do it via the app. You can’t do it online. The help page directs you to a url that doesn’t work. I tried chatting with customer service but that’s only for sales and they can’t help. The only option is to call. Tried that and was cut off twice. Otherwise, very long wait times. Recorded message suggested opening a ticket via the help tab. I’ve done that so let’s see if they respond, how long it will take and if they can help. It should never be this hard to cancel a service one no longer needs especially after being a loyal customer for many years.
  • Inconsistent performance

We have to delete and reinstall the app fairly frequently, sometimes multiple times per week. Calls ring once before they disconnect so customers can only reach us by leaving a voicemail. It’s great when it’s working, but again, it’s inconsistent

  • Monthly Payment?

Why should we pay monthly? 10$ a month just to call and text that’s a joke. I can list off 10 other apps out there right now that have the same features as this app but the only difference is that the other apps are FREE. Uninstalled.
  • Constant issues since iOS 14!!

I have used this for our business and approximately six users for almost a decade, and it has always been a love-hate relationship. The application development pace has always been poor, but now it has become abysmal. This application hasn’t been updated for bug fixes or security for an entire year. Totally unacceptable for a primary business application! Constant issues since iOS 14: - The app loses its settings and needs to be force quit and re-launched in order for settings like forwarding and cellular voice to be properly set within the app. This happens many times every day since iOS 14! - App doesn’t respect contact numbers which include special characters for extensions like “,” or “;” which are used to denote an extension to be entered after the main number has been dialed - App crashes more frequently now under iOS 14, but stability has always been a problem Also the dialing and text messaging workflows are super clunky, and have always been. For instance, from a contact, tapping the “message bubble” button pulls up a selection menu which offers the available contact methods, but when you select one it asks again if you want to voice dial or SMS. Never mind that the cellular data and WiFi VoIP functionality has always been very very poor (we are actually Internet technologists so we understand the complexities of QoS over WiFi, but even still it’s terrible). Consider carefully before using this service! Look at Sideline, which offers much of the same functionality but is at least well developed ;(.
