  • Where did the speed indicator go?

    It is now hijacked by the carpool tool, which displays its useless info instead. This feature is unremovable. I consider giving up of using Waze. It is another case of Google attempting to shove useless features down the users’ throat.

    Waze was so great, i loved it. Unfortunately, the latest version forces you to choose a destination, if you don’t, half of the screen is taken up with a dialog box that cannot be eliminated. That means you either let it navigate, or you’re out of luck. Want to just meander without getting directions? No sir, not allowed. This is a UX disaster, and a prime example of developer arrogance. F&@;k you Waze!

  • Tracks your location after you’ve arrived.

    I leave this review for anyone worried about privacy. Waze will continue to track your location for HOURS after you’ve arrived at your locations and gives then sells the information to other companies. If you simply log into the app, BOOM they will still continue tracking you whether you put in an address or not. JUST CLICKING/OPENING the app will allow them to continue tracking your location. You have to manual press ‘go to sleep’ or even if you ACCIDENTALLY CLICKED ON THAT APP, boom tracking you and your habits once again to sell.

    I love this app. It reminds me to keep set speeds especially thru towns with speed traps multiple speed zones.

  • Waze literally just saved us from an accident

    Waze just saved us from an accident on the Pa turnpike. We are driving thru the mountains which are windy are pitch black when waze alerted out ACCIDENT AHEAD. Within 5 seconds we turned the bend to find dead stopped traffic. We had to do an emergency stop. The traffic behind us weren’t as lucky. The heads up saved us from a major accident. Thanks Waze.

    I wish there was more options for reporting or at least an explanation of how reporting looks to other drivers. Unfortunately I live in a not so populous area so reporting is sketchy. My son and I had a lot of fun recording our own messages so that’s a nice feature.
