  • Great reporting, acceptable interface

I love the Seattle Times. Local news is so critical to society. My only complaint with the app is that the layout seems to harken back to physical newspapers, with floating paragraphs across the screen. ST should take a note from Axios’ app and The Guardian’s app to redesign for modern devices.
  • Deep linking issues

PLEASE fix your deep linking. If I want to read an article linked from within the app, I should not be taken to Safari (and get told I’m not logged in/don’t have access) to do so. SO frustrating.

  • Sad excuse for an app.. Why in this day and age???

Could you at least allow font resizing n this app for those of us over 35? Half of the articles you mentioned in your daily newsletters are not available on the app or if they are linked backed the web page Why should I need to see only half an article? Why should I be forced to sign into the web page? Why should I subscribe to your digital edition if one cannot read it? Arghhh We are going into 2021 , isn’t it time for your app to join the present day
  • Search function on app missing.

This is a sad excuse for a newspaper app ! Just where are the articles in various sections that your daily news emails I get. For example many of the articles and other areas like comics etc. are just not available via the app. Just not worth the money
  • Difficult display!

I am not a fan of the difficulty in viewing your online paper. As a subscriber, and this being part of the price, it should be much more user friendly and intuitive for all subscribers, not just the tech savvy.

This new version is crashing a lot.

Your app would be so much better if there were a search feature.
  • Needs Re-Imagining

So much content is almost impossible to find. Often times, it’s not even there. You have to Google a specific topic and link to it on their website, not through the app. For example, on a minor thing… I cannot find the sports broadcasting lineup that is always in the sports section on a daily basis. As currently constructed, it is simply not a go to app for me.
