  • Horrible app update

The latest update to the DNA portion of the application is the worst update since I’ve been using Ancestry over the last 4 years. It’s now impossible to view DNA match groups, common shares ancestors or the family tree that is linked to the DNA match. Each year Ancestry’s technology continues to decline to the point where it’s practically useless. I’m very unhappy with Ancestry.
  • Adding DNA to a family tree is huge

I’m the last person who wants to pay for a subscription to anything. My own personal indulgence is Ancestry for the validation it brings to my research. You still need to follow the good practices of documenting your work with primary sources, but Ancestry makes it easier. I had been working on my tree for a long time, but DNA matching has provided several unexpected breakthroughs that I would not have had without it. It also proved me correct in a couple areas where I had a strong theory but no primary document. Thrulines is tricky as it is not always correct if other users have uploaded faulty family trees, but it usually is correct. And besides, that has always been a pitfall you have had to dodge in genealogy.
  • Great reference tool!

Haven't you ever wondered about the immigration of your ancestors in conversation? But there's no way to google that. This is how you google that!

What happened to the map? So you cannot view your relatives anymore?? Please help and show me how I can do this. Also I do t like the font or whatever. I cannot see so many things I used to see. Plus for the price, and then when you don’t pay all the information you added is taken away. So disappointed in Ancestry for all the pictures and data I have given. I should be able to keep and view that information anytime. So 1 star

I pay you way too much money for you to switch everything up on me with a new, crappy, update. It was FINE before!!!
  • Subscription

A subscription should be a subscription. Adding layers of price increases to further my tree and get more info is very insulting and scam-ish.
