    This app is horrible.
  • Great App With Few, Minor Flaws

I hemmed and hawed between 4 and 5 stars. Ultimately, I just use this app so often and have so few issues with it that I had to go with 5 stars. Organization is definitely best done in browser rather than in app. The browser functionality allows you to more easily move notes from one notebook to another. That was a game changer. I do also wish you could share a page as a pdf out of one of the notebooks. If this is possible, I haven’t figured out how to do it yet. Someone please tell me. Other than that, I find this to be a ludicrously easy to use, simple note taking app. I’ve got it organized to a great point where I just have all my notes easily accessible and ready to use. I’ve only used this app with my Apple Pencil, so I don’t know how good or bad it is without a pencil or other stylus

  • Evernote messed it up

Penultimate seemed like a decent app and Evernote as well but then Evernote started messing around with subscriptions and limiting services and access and it just wasn’t worth it anymore. Somehow they thought they had gotten big enough that they could do what they wanted and customers would just take being screwed over. Wrong!
  • Evernote has destroyed this app

It was a great app that I used everyday in school. Then Evernote bought it and then destroyed it. It became buggier and buggier overtime, just like evernote.

Features stop working and there is “no comment”. I suspect I am just accumulating a huge pile of journals that will need to be tediously transferred to another program and lack consistency with new files. very hard to organize, especially for a note taking app. Hand writing has a nice feel and can be very precise. It could be so much more.

I love it because I can write like using pen and paper and I can make correction anytime without using eraser. Integration with Evernote makes it so easy to upload my notes and have everything in one place.
