Is curious spelled wrong on the welcome page of the app? It says “Interactive eBooks for curios minds”
  • Why must I scroll constantly?

This app doesn’t let you flip pages, you must scroll. Then when the section or chapter ends it doesn’t seamlessly transition to the next one. Please give me the option to flip pages like a standard ebook! The only reason I’m using this is because it is the only way my school’s textbook is available. I would literally choose any other option to read this book if possible.

  • Navigation needs work

I like having this app to access my various medical book titles in one place on my phone, but the navigation really needs some work. If I tap on any one of the titles, I get taken to a menu where I can download chapters. But that’s the only option I have is to download chapters. If I decide I do not want to download chapters, there’s nothing else I can do on that page. I can’t just view a chapter without downloading it, and worst, I cannot go back to the homepage. I have to exit the app completely and restart it to be able to look at other titles. You guys need to fix that.
  • Useless app

This is useless. You cannot highlight or write notes as you read on the digital text. You hav to pull out the notes and bookmarks to type (!) something. Seriously why can’t it work like a PDF document where you can leave notes on the text as you read. This is a waste. Truly. Maybe is good for a recipe book but not a textbook. At least let us download the pdf and I can work on it using Acrobat for iPad. FYI your software designers are aware of the Apple Pencil both first and second generation. If not they should so we can make use of it.

I started Using the app for the first time and it was working fine, then it started telling me to repurchase my ebook. I tried refresh, restore and finally deleting the app. I downloaded it again and the same issue. This time it didn’t even say I purchased it in the first place.

Inkling has repeatedly over the past few years updated a usable app into an essentially broken one for weeks to months before fixing it. The current iPad app just got updated to the iPhone version, which does NOT work well on the iPad and has frequently crashed on me opening a chapter. I wish I could redownload the last version.
  • Changing my rating and review

I initially had a problem viewing my digital copy of Auerbach’s Wilderness Medicine (a code came with the hard copy) and I was really disappointed because I would have just bought the digital copy from kindle had I known it wasn’t going to work. But then I contacted the customer support and they went ABOVE and BEYOND expectations, had me send them a video of what was happening when trying to view downloaded chapters and they fixed the bug and released a new version. And now it is seemless. I’ll be able to read this text even when I’m out in my tent backpacking without lugging around heavy texts. I mean, that’s pretty awesome and I wish I could figure out how to delete my original negative review.
  • I don’t like the new update

The app was very good. However, after the recent update, it becomes very hard to use. Please bring back the function to see the content and chapters/sessions at the same time. It was much easier this way to find what I want in the book, and to jump from one session to the other. Thanks.
