If you would like to have a reliable backup method for your accounts, do NOT get this app. I lost access to a lot of accounts after my phone broke and cannot login to any of them on my new one. I love google, but this app can do so much better.

Hello I just wanted to say that I really like the new visual update it’s very sleek and nice. I gave 4 stars just because of the inability to transfer auths to another phone or computer. This has set me back quite a few times. Nonetheless a good app!

This Authenticator doesn’t not save when you transfer data from a different phone. All my 2fa is gone and can’t login to certain things! Absolutely ridiculous how I wasn’t warned about this.

The app doesn't work right out the gate. Tight. Like, how did a company as big as Google somehow monumentally screw this up?
  • Nintendo not connecting

For some reason, your codes aren’t being recognized by Nintendo to be able to set up Pokémon Home. Everything says to check setting in the app, but I don’t have a settings option. I’ve gone everywhere for help and they all say the same thing (settings time syncs, which this app just doesn’t seem to have) what is going on????
  • I’ve moved on

No dark mode, no watch app. No way. I’ve moved on to OTP Auth, which has both of those features and more. More so, it exports data directly to iCloud so even if it set my devices up brand new it all comes back the exact same way.

The hassle of this farrrrrrrr.... out weighs any pros.
  • Unreliable

I lost 2 accounts because this app forgets accounts and there is no way to re-sync the authenticator once you need a code to access an account. Do NOT trust this app! I solely use backup codes because the only thing reliable about this app is it forgetting your accounts.
