I have been a longtime runner. Recently I’ve read a lot about the benefits interval training for runners. I tried several apps to help to train and this is by far the best one I’ve found. First, it’s clean user interface makes it easy to use. It works perfectly on all iOS versions and most of all there are now “in-app purchases” or subscriptions or hidden fees. This app does exactly what it says it will. It’s features are robust, but easy to use. This is one of the highest value apps I’ve purchased. If you are performing HIIT training or any kind in interval training I highly recommend this app.
  • They don’t honor long time paid users subscription s anymore.

They chose to make the blue icon app version the only thing available for Apple Watch, and with that you have to pay some ridiculous $2 a month fee, when this paid version (orange icon) was probably $2 or $3 one time years ago. They know everyone wants to use Apple Watch, so they ditched years long paying customers to make this month fee on an entirely separate app to get away with it. Scam.

I really enjoy tracking all of the workouts that I’ve done over the years using this app. I feel proud of myself and the progress I’ve made especially in the last year! This app is perfect for HIIT!

Does everything I need it to: simple or complex intervals, and controls music. Saves me from upgrading to the more advanced MapMyRun.
  • Disappointed with purchased app

Used the free version for years with no issues. Then it started flooding me with campaign ads, no thanks. Decided to spend 2.99 to avoid. The paid version now knocks out my podcast every time the app dings or the app will not ding if I’m on podcast screen. Frustrated.
  • Awesome, simple app that does only what you need

Easy to configure, easy to see from a distance, and literally nothing more that you need. Highly configurable timers and some out of the way music controls. Have used this app for more years than I can remember, it was one of the first apps I ever paid for after getting my first iPhone and still sits on my first page of apps today.
