Online is a poor application. Does not utilize full screen. I pay for a service and I get advertising. No wonder why old school paper business is diminishing. Need some developers that understand technology and put something out there that customers will be from.

I don’t know or understand why the online change was made. It has totally ruined it for me. I will be canceling my subscription Monday. It is totally worthless!
  • Where’s the article?

I’ve noticed that I have no way to finish an article previously started. This happens whenever I begin an article on one day and it is gone the next. Sometimes in as little as 8 hours. It is very disconcerting as I follow the legislators.

This app consistently fails to deliver. I have to re do something almost weekly. Am seriously thinking of canceling my subscription.
  • Useless without a search function

Still waiting for a search function so I can find articles and authors by keyword. There are still columns (e.g. Hax) you cannot navigate to by section. Pretty useless to me otherwise. My NYT and WaPo apps are miles better, but all I ask is a basic search bar. Please. Please.

I also would give it a zero. I spend too much time NOT getting into what I want and/or being able to manipulate a page while reading. Please fix your App; invest in your programmers and web designers. Something is amiss.
  • Horrible

No one answers on weekends when e-edition crashes. I rate it a negative -5.
  • Needs a better format.

The reporting from the N&O is top-notch. However the app format is clumsy on both iPhone and iPad. It should be scrapped all together. They should take design cues from the NY Times, WA Post, or WSJ.
  • Have to login every time

It is ridiculous that I have to login every time I want to read an article!
  • Battery drain

App is ok, but keeps draining my battery with background activity. It doesn’t show up in the settings to disable the background operations either. Please fix!
