  • Big Sur Evernote = big disappointment

There are some long-standing bugs in Evernote on Big Sur. I would not recommend upgrading at this time. On MacOS Big Sur bugs and gaps include: * Can't rotate between windows with keyboard shortcut * Can't sort by note size * Can't find notes shared with particular people I think Evernote should very rapidly focus on fixing bugs rather than adding features.

This is by far THE WORST AND MOST BUGGY update! I'm at 10.5.7 now, and the weekly updates are not correcting any of the issues I began facing after the overhaul 6 weeks ago. I have sent multiple messages to support. Are they all on holiday break or something? Also, I'm not the type of person to leave ugly reviews. But, I don't feel like Evernote is lilstening. I use Evernote on my macbook, iphone and ipad. Problems: - Constant duplicate (conflicting) notes, causing me to WASTE time searching for the issues that cannot even be identified. - I use evernote to write my public talks, but when I create a PDF of the note so I can use it for my talk, the top and bottom margins disappear, chopping up text, making it unreadable. ALSO, it chops off the final 4-5 lines at the end of the document. ALSO, when I send it to my printer, the same thing happens. - When going to about 80% of my notebooks, I get the message ... "sorry, we're having trouble, try reloading the page". I do so, but I get the same error message. I close the app and reopen and get the error message. I restart my computer and the same error message pops up. I have literally wasted hours doing this over the past month. I have to go to my ipad or iphone to open the app. Wow, guys. If no progress or changes happen in the next couple of weeks, I'm dumping this app. Not only me, but my staff as well. This is a mess, guys. The app is practically unusable. I realiize that new rollouts do have bugs, but this is ridiculous, and it isn't getting fixed. I literally check EVERY DAY for an update or a patch to make this work, but nohing has corrected my problems.
  • Pretty good notes app

Overall very good for syncing quick notes between devices. An issue with most recent versions- I liked how the desktop app used to have a manual sync button to update the note. the current version sometimes needs to be quit out of and reopened to properly sync the most updated version.
  • Stopped working reliably after recent upgrade

I have been using evernote for 9 years to document my daily work activities and frequenty search my old notes for nuggets of information. Until recently evernote has been rock solid. But, it recently stopped working reliably on both my work and personal mac book pros. It frequenty gets into a state where it cannot open an existing note or create a new one. If the app isn't fixed soon I will have to switch to another application to mange my notes. Just exported my notes and moved to the Apple Notes app. Good bye Evernote! It was good while it lasted.
  • New App Version is a trash

New app uses electron or similar technology, so you basically running one more browser. Unfortunately, all those based on Chromium engine and it consumes easily half a gig of memory. This is insane, simple, fast to start and use app, became monster eating your CPU and RAM. Shame Evernote!
  • Good, Bad and Ugly

I use Evernote on MacOS, Windows, iPhone, and iPad. The Good: The UI is growing on me and I like it quite a bit. I like the consistency of it across devices. (I hated it at first, but it's starting to grow on me), but it is just missing so so many features -- it's crazy. The Bad: This version of the Mac (10.5.7 at time of writing) is missing a lot of cool features that it had in the legacy version: Cmd-J, Multiple Tabs, Custom (and editable) HTML formatting. Navigating between notes and tags is slower and laggy. The Ugly: It's shocking how many features are missing from what you used to be able to do. Really shocking. Also I spent four hours making a note on Mac and went to edit it on my iPad. But my changes weren't there. Weird. I look at my iPhone and the note update time is the same time I was looking at it on my iPad. (I must have made an edit on my iPad.) Weird - what happened to my Mac OS changes? Gone. Just gone. It ate it. 4 hours gone. No duplicate copy anywhere. It also just up and ate one of my sketches inside my note. Just gone. Losing notes or parts of notes is not a good way to inspire confidence. Syncing is just sorely lacking. All in all -- this is a huge step down from where it was. Yeah - it's nice that it looks more consistent across platforms, but its consistently crummy.
  • Ruined it - stop the nag messages on updates!

I don't need a nag message EVERY DAY saying that Evernote is updated, no update available! No settings to turn this off? Come on Evernote do you actually use your own product? Your own people couldn't be happy seeing this pop up EVERY DAY are they?
  • Newest version is horrible

Don't waste your time. Unusable. Glitchy. Can't select more than 50 notes. Switching to Apple Notes. Sad for a company that used to be so great.
  • Very bad experience with the latest version

    1. The app settings was removed, how do i change my perferences? Linking to the web doesn't work on the mac app. Literally took away previously available features with this update. 2. Problematic with this new version. Not sure if they changed it to a web based app, but the app doesn't refresh most of the time. And if you clip something from your broswer It shows you an error message "Sorry, we’re having some trouble. Try reloading the page.". You will never be able to see your notes. What a SHAME! it was a great app.
  • Newest Update is Awful

There are way too many bugs in this latest release. When I have an idea that I want to quickly capture, I can't even create a new note. I am a premium user and at the moment, I can't understand why I am paying for a subpar product. I've been through many iterations of Evernote, so I am fine with change. What I am not okay with is a product that does not fulfill its obligations.
