I have been using Numbers as long as it has come out. It appears you want me to go somewhere else. Two main examples: 1 - Have to go the print preview to see if tabkle are positioned on one page, two or three. Can not see this basic information while actually wotking in the tables! 2 - Can not now reset the scale on charts anymore. All charts are shown from zero to the maximum number. All the controls to set this have been removed, if not , where are they located??
  • Better Than Excel & Google Sheets A Lot Like Adobe Software

Absolutely love it. I tred Excel; Which I absolutely hate! Google Sheets is good but Google's privacy policy is just plain AWFUL! Numbers is completely priviate, easy to use, and a lot of the features are a lot like using Adobe InDesign. I absolutely love it! Amazing quick template. Best of all, it's very simple to transfer back and forth between my MacBook and iPad!
  • You can't even rotate text. WHY Apple?

This app has lots of promise but it's missing basic things, like the ability to rotate text or the ability to use JavaScript or Swift to create custom functions. Why can't I just use Swift to make custom functions Apple? Clearly REPL works on iPad, and could easily work on iPhone. If it can't be Swift then just let it be able to interpret javascript like Google Sheets. Why!!!/??? This could be the best spreadsheet but Apple doesn't take it seriously enough to make it great.
  • New logo is so bad... and new pivot tables

I am afraid of what is happening in this department when Apple, the pinnacle of design, rolls out a new logo that makes Microsoft look cutting edge and hurts my eyes.

  • Doesn't work after Big Sur and app update

This is some nonsense. I updated to big sur, and numbers and pages still worked. Then I updated to the new version of numbers and pages and neither worked. I go to check for solutions and this problem is a month old and still not resolved. I don't have access to any of my spreadsheets. Pathetic. 1 month with no fix, that is crazy.
  • Loved the older version - now it won't load CSV

I'm running on a ADP, NDP with Apple silicon. Numbers has previously worked well. Now a CVS export from Timeline via email crashes the app immediately upon trying to load it from the Downloads file. For me this is mission critical, as billing needs to be done. I'm going to use another work around, but boy what a major pain!
  • kind of terrible for apple software

yeah it's there if you need a quick spreadsheet on a mac, but Excel blows it away, and i'm a mac fan. formula entry = super annoying. making graphs = blah. graph types = blah. graph editing = blah. if you are an Excel power user or even a casual user, you will not like this app at all.

It's November 2020 and the new Mac OS 10-dot-whatevs is released and Numbers is updated. If you have a Mac that can't update and also have Numbers spreadsheets to share... now you can't. That feature is turned off for all Mac users who are not using the very latest OS and Numbers update. Want the Numbers update without the OS update? You can't. Want to just continue life as you were? You can't. Thank you Apple product marketing masters! You've given a master class in how to be a classless master of market awareness. And no, doing everything in a web browser in iCloud is not an option. That's a second-rate experience at best and I still can't work offline on the "shared" document. It's a bad set of product decisions from start to end.
