    Sections of the paper tile out and then the app crashes. Sometimes it crashes without doing this. You cannot download the whole paper and read it offline.

  • Pages partially disappear

    The app used to be stable for me. A couple of months ago it suddenly has an issue where the page will display on my iPad, and then suddenly most of the page disappears. Sometimes paging back and forth will get it back, sometimes not. Reinstalled the app, but same problem. I’m not seeing any other complaints so wondering if it’s just me.

    This is the only newspaper app that allows you read as you do when you get your daily paper Great app for your tablet or IPad I never seen any other newspaper do it this way You will feel like you are reading a newspaper not a book best way I can describe it.

  • Unable to open editions

    It’s really a shame to pay for something that doesn’t work! What’s even worse, when you call the number provided for assistance, they have no idea how to help! You want online subscribers but this is really crappy service!

  • Good For On The Go

    Works great with iPad mini. This is a convenient way to take the sjr with you wherever you go. Beginning the end of March 2017, you have to logon every day when you download the paper. This is not convenient at all. The app was much better before they added this recent feature. I am changing from 5 stars to 4 stars for this negative feature that was added.

    This app viewing is very jumpy and unstable when switching pages left or right. Also the Options don't always work and now I can't access the Editions section to clear out storage which is always more than the three editions I limit storage too. Nowhere can I get online help for this app. Very frustrating to use.

    RECENT CHANGES TO THE APP: Single tap opens the article/Articles Mode Double tap now zooms in/out Network is now set to Online Mode To revert, use Options menu > Settings Don't show again Continue

  • Doesn't work

    The vendor says the app was just updated and I see a fairly recent review, but my version of the app was "updating" for weeks. I deleted it with the intent of redownloading, but now it won't even do that. What's up SJ-R? And in case the paper powers-to-be see this post .... make your print paper free, charge a break even cost for delivery. The business model of charging advertisers and subscribers is over. Look at the IT. Free! And it flys off the stand.
