I have had a print description for many years. As of Nov 2020, the App tells me I need to subscribe or link my subscription! When I try to link, it opens up to confirm my print subscription, but will not link! Aggravating!

Notifications open to the Home Screen of the app, then when you can find the article you were interest in reading and click on it - there’s a spinning whee of death that never gets resolved. You have to kill the app and reopen it, and then hope you can find the article you were notified about

If it was paper, I’d line my birdcage with it. Liberal jibberish.

I’m a subscriber, it’s always telling me I don’t have access when I’m signed in. Terrible excuse for an app from a terrible newspaper. Why would I be surprised?

No bugs in the app any more, which is okay. But what I really like is the new crossword.
  • At least it works.....

Update 11/1/20: Still horrible after all these years. I looked for articles online that are in today’s print edition, but nothing. I used to like to read Joe Holley’s column on Texas, but can’t search to find it or search for anything else because there’s no search function. They’ve had an app for years, and after all this time, the owners aren’t even trying. You’d think in a city of 6 million people, you could get better than this. Original review: The old app did not work at all.....it jus froze a lot and never loaded. My guess is that instead of trying to fix the old one, they just scrapped it and started over with a very simple one. At least you can read some articles with this version, which I couldn’t before. I had given up on the ap, but now at least I can read some. I’m hoping they’ll slowly ad features.

The Chron is pathetic. No search function. No mention of huge scandal involving Joe Biden getting millions under the table by using his son as front man.

Today is October 10. No matter what I try to do the Thursday paper keeps popping up. Very disappointing.

I keep being prompted to buy a subscription which I already have. Keep being told I have read my last article and I can only read the first paragraph. I can’t sign in because I am already signed in. Called and lady didn’t have a clue and hung up. But I love the content. And I can’t send this because “all the nicknames are taken”. Tried 10 so far.

content aside - why can i not search for an article on this app? why can i not find an index of an daily, weekly, monthly? anything. was looking to laugh with friends via text about the ridiculousness that you all read the 2020 room and thought it -yep- we should really exalt a story about an exuberant wedding of Dr Elizabeth Mackey. people are losing their homes.
