    After some hiccups with syncing (likely Apple’s fault), I tried the major competitors in this space. Some had nicer graphics or training videos, but all had dramatically worse watch interfaces and it was harder to input your own workout on phone, then doing it using the Watch. Strong is miles ahead, very easy to read what your are doing, and make minor adjustments to weight/reps or order of sets as needed. You don’t need to have your phone near your weights, perfect!

    Strong is an amazing tool for creating workouts and tracking metrics! I’ve been using it for years now and am very happy I found it, it’s made workouts a breeze to track. Exercises are fully customizable and sortable, and can be switched out or altered on the fly as needed to record your workout. Routines are also super customizable and easy to make, providing fast preset workout plans as you see fit. Has a great built-in weight, measurement, and nutrition tracker included. Aesthetically, pleasing with several nice options for the simple-to-use interface. All in all, highly recommended to anyone looking for a great tool to electronically plan and track your workouts or fitness!

    I have been using this app for at least 5 years and it is by far the best workout tracking app I have come across. It has the basics that you need but they’re so streamlined and intuitive it helps you track your workouts without being disruptive. 10/10

    The app stopped syncing to my Apple watch. It just sits there and loads but doesn’t pull in my workouts at all anymore.

    I used to use a paper and pencil notebook exclusively because I love raw data. Nothing is ever wrong with raw data! This app automatically does some of the key calculations that I would normally have to enter into a spreadsheet or formula to get the metric. You can also enter historic data by changing the workout date stamp. The app will tell me when I get a PR in basically any metric on any lift. The only thing I don’t like is that the progress as a projected 1 RM max on each lift only updates when you hit a new projected 1 RM. I would prefer if this chart just tracked my projected 1 RM on each workout and let the user determine if they were trying or not.

    The subscription for the paid version (because you can only store 3 free routines of your own) requires you to pay 5 bucks a month, 30 bucks a year, or 100 for a life time for a ton of junk you’ll never care to use if you’re just using this program to track your workout. In my opinion I would find something which functions better and is cheaper. Simply avoid this product.
