Not pleased having to almost daily off/on of iPad just so I can read the day’s newspaper. Called Customer Service and they suggested deleting app and reinstall, which I did but problem persists. I give up! Will find alternative news source. Downloading yet again cause problem persists.

Lots of improvements have been made to the CJ app. Give it a try, send any feedback to the Capital Journal.

Disappointing. This app is unreadable on a cell phone.
  • Terrible app. Terrible advertising banner on the iPad

Terrible app. The blank advertising space on the top part of the iPad screen is ridiculous. I want to read the paper with the full screen on the iPad. Put the advertising in the paper, not on the top as a banner. The old version from years ago was infinitely better.
  • Replace this app!

Is anyone at the Capital-Journal reading these app reviews? Readers are apparently not happy with this new app. The old one was much better. This one is very clunky and quite frustrating. I was reading this morning and accidentally brushed across a pop up ad, with the app immediately going to that ad. I could not get the ad to close without restarting my iPad. Now the a CJ app says it is in "Offline Mode" despite the fact that I am online. This screen will not go away. CJ - you need to go back to the drawing boards on this one.

The new version is terrible. Tab buttons interfere with reading the page. Pages do not turn smoothly. It just seems jumpy. Not very user friendly and crashes often. Hope TCJ will notice and make a better version.

No breaking news. No updates. No notifications. Utterly worthless.

This app is a poor version of the digital edition that you can get by going to their website. If you pull up an article the formatting is poorly done as it mixes the picture caption in with the article without any differentiation between the two. If you try to view the picture half the time you only get to see half of it. For some reason it was decided to take us back to the 70's and use black and white pictures. Please either fix this app or go back to the previous version.

This is now a worthless app. Previous to the update it worked fine. You could swipe to get to the next article after downloading it. Now you have to click back-and-forth. This is a less than zero app.
