This side hustle app (or for some people, their full-time job!) allows you to take a photo of something in your closet and upload it to your account in less than 60 seconds, all from your phone.” —Parade “The marketplace that’s so posh that celebrities use it—especially to raise money for good causes, like DJ Khaled, Serena Williams, Katherine Heigl and Rachael Ray” —Buzzfeed

I have used this platform to buy and sell before. It’s not the same , too many spam... scammers , bots . It’s not easy to navigate and the customer service is not as good as before.

My email was compromised. Reached out to Poshmark and they’ve done absolutely nothing about it. Never again!

This app is so user friendly and great when navigating. Straight forward fees and shipping is easy to understand. I really enjoy the friendliness and how others appreciate quality clothing. A+!!

I like the easy what transactions work. One way to improve: it would be nice we could photos scroll photos from left to right by swiping instead of a long vertical list.
  • Customer service.

Not good. Just make sure you won’t need any assistance. You’ll get some automated response, and that’s about it. In fact, if they respond to this review, it will be some stupid automated response.
  • Better selling apps

For starters, I really don’t write reviews but my experience with Poshmark has been so horrible that I had no choice. This company takes an absurd amount of your earnings out of your selling price. What the item is worth is listed higher on Poshmark than Mercari or depop simply because the sellers are trying to recoup some money. My experience with this selling company had been horrific. I shipped something to a buyer on 12/5 and my money is still being held on “hold.” (As I write this, it is 12/26). Customer service is impossible to get ahold of because they don’t have a call center and you have to send in an email request that they *say* they’ll get back to you for but NEVER EVER DO. Sell on depop or Mercari. Better interface, better deals, and easier to communicate between sellers and buyers.

So I’ve been selling on poshmark for 2.5 years and only made $8,000. That’s because the discounted shipping comes out of my pocket! Why? It does not cost $7.99 so ship half the items on poshmark, when the item maybe cost $3.80 ( I can ship in a large priority box for 8.50 up to 70 lbs). Which means poshmark keeps the discounted shipping ( 2.49 or more) plus they make 20% off most sales. Which in the long run causes the sellers to up their prices, which causes less sells. That will hurt poshmark in the long run. I have made $18,000 in 3 months off eBay and their fees are only 12% (depending on the item usually less). I will be closing my posh closet soon. Posh is a rip off, Many people are doing the same so soon poshmark will be no more.

There’s really no way to tell if a seller’s ratings are true for ALL their transactions. I have made a purchase that has never been shipped even though her profile shows her typical shipping time is 1 day. Now I have to wait until day 10 to initiate the cancellation for something that was supposed to be a gift for someone. The day after I made the purchase, she put her shop on vacation. Can I leave a bad review for her once I cancel it? Is the fact that she never shipped something that was ordered be factored into her average ship time? Probably not. I have had other sellers print a shipping label, enter in Poshmark then not ship the package for a week. I think the concept is great but it’s horrible not knowing if the seller has had more bad/cancelled transactions than the good reviews their page shows. Also there should be a way to message sellers not just comment on items. 2 stars instead of 1 because I’ve probably had 4 very positive purchase experiences while the rest had me waiting with no way to contact seller.
