I’ve had this app for a couple years now. I continue to use it because of its ease of navigation within the app, compared to many of the others available. It’s much simpler to flip between books and chapters, as well as different versions to compare. I’ve got three issues with this app now. This first two aren’t so bad, but are annoying. Close to a year ago I started noticing that every thing I go swipe to go to the next chapter/ page, it shows the swipe/next page motion, but it stays on the same page. If you try to swipe once more; in the same “next page” direction, then it takes you two pages ahead. For example: Finish page 1, swipe right takes you to the top of page 1, so you swipe right once more and it takes you to page 3. The only way to actually get to page 2 is to: finish page 1, swipe right which stays on page 1, then swipe left to (go back/stay on page 1) and then swipe right again to go to page 2. It’s nothing major but it is annoying. I can live with it though. My second complaint has to do with the time out of the app. I often use this app to copy and paste scripture that I am using to minister on Facebook groups. It’s extremely annoying to find what book and chapter I’m looking for, copy and then paste in my group online, then go back to copy another verse in scripture (barely 25 seconds later).... and the app has to reload like I just started it, and I have yo sit through another 25 seconds of complete garbage advertisements again... it fires this every single time I’m not in the app for about only 20 seconds, and then I have to watch the absolutely disgusting ads all over again.... which leads me to my third complaint: My third complaint has to do with the addition of the recent really long ads. I understand apps use ads. You guys have always had them, but they were 3 to 5 seconds long and harmless. These new ads are like 20 seconds or maybe a tad longer, sometimes. It’s exceedingly annoying to have to sit through every single time. The biggest problem with these ads.... developers in taking to you.... do you even know what’s in them??? This is a Bible app, and sound of these stupid ads on your app are pretty sexual in nature. Namely... the ones from “Bigo Live.” They constantly show girls that are; dressed very indecent, and sex tease dancing halfway lifting up their shirts, pulling down a strap on their shirt, and shaking it up like they’re professional strippers. This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I’m coming on here to read the Bible... God’s word, and this filth gets put in front of me? What about a younger kid that would go to read and see this? Get rid of these filthy ads. I’m about to leave you guys. It may not matter much, but it’s an issue to people like me.

This is not user-friendly at all. Trying to find a scripture or get to a particular verse is almost impossible and I’m sorry I ordered the app. I am going to find another one there’s more user-friendly.

I LOVED THIS AP before it switched to ads. I tried to keep using it despite the ads because I paid for some offline version. When it upgraded it dumped my paid versions. I’m not so tech savvy I thought maybe I did something incorrectly. I still keep trying to trudge through. One of my children was trying to phone to look up scripture and told me to dump this app and use theirs (YouVersion) It took a while to get use to. I just tried to open this one after years of the other snd the ads are worse than before. I couldn’t even get to the Bible because the ads keep redirecting me back to YouTube. So messed up and another victory for the enemy. I know folks need to make money but wow 😯

Purchased bibles no longer downloading, says cant connect to server. What happened to an app that has been a blessing for years? Time to look elsewhere. Olive Tree seems good.

I love using this app. It is fast and easy. Today when I opened the app it was telling me I need to sign into Facebook. I don’t like that and don’t see the reason or purpose behind that.

During this year of not knowing what to expect next it is comforting to have Bible verses available on my phone that is with me at all times. I don’t have an excuse to not read the Bible especially in these turbulent and divisive times but to know that God is with us good times and bad.
