  • Audio Bible Section

    I love the app in total. I find it very useful in my growing in the Lord. One point I would like to make is with the “Audio Bible “ section. I wish there were a “speed of play” setting as I would like the ability to slow down the speed of the reading just a little bit so I would have more time to soak in his word.

    I’ve been using Bible Gateway for years and it has been a blessing to me. The audio is fantastic and I absolutely love the speaker Max McLean’s voice. Just wish there was a way to download it. I recommend it!

    I have enjoyed this app until approximately one week ago when something happened that may have been my fault. I received the verse of the day and would always clock on “read entire chapter” where I would then scroll to notes, summary, etc., to enhance my knowledge of that particular selection. The format I now receive is the dashboarad without that option and includes a drop down menu. I have tried to reset my preferences, but often get an “error code” telling me I must be connected to the internet. My internet is perfect, so I have re-booted my Ipad, uninstalled the app, signed in and out, restored default settings, etc., to no avail. I would appreciate advice as to how to get the app back to where it was. Thank you and God bless.

    How to search for a specific text? Search takes you to select a version and search entire bible...then what? How do you continue beyond that to the verse your looking for. Complete trash! At one time you could just type in a book, chapter:verse and it would display the verse in your selected version.

    I love your App and use it daily but lately I am continually closing it then reopening it to see if I can speed up the terrible scroll or actually not scroll issue.

    Please make this app accessible for persons who are blind and use screen readers like voice over which is used on all Apple devices. Or Google talk back which is used on all android devices. App needs a lot more accessibility improvement. Blind people want to read the Bible to. Thank you.

    I love the Bible Gateway app because I can look up any verse and even search by using a keyword. I have one suggestion, can you make it possible for me to have my translation preferences on the top like “pin it” so that way when I’m reading it in NIV, then I want to switch it to the MSG, I want to be able to click the next one instead of scrolling all the way down to M and when I want to go back to NIV, I have to scroll all the way down to N cuz it always starts at the top when I want to switch back and forth. Maybe make it possible to have top 5 translations favorites or have the “recent used ones” on top. Something like that? Thanks

    Website update: 0 stars for your horrible website now: distracting and irrelevant ads all over the place, pushing your expensive books and subscription—pure GREED! Your app: same thing! Pushing expensive subscription and big obnoxious ad at the bottom! Too much going on to even be able to focus on my selected Bible verse(s). I really expect more from a Christian app; very disappointed.
